Loved this video! I went gray in my early 50s because I got sick of the monthly expense (& chemicals) to keep my hair colored. My mother grayed early, & eventually to lovely/ striking white. Beautiful silver kept peeking through for me & I wanted to finally feel authentic. One relative told me: “You can’t possibly go gray - you have teenage daughters & you’ll look old!” I said screw that! I’ve never looked back & love my short, spikey cut. I have noticed, however that black sometimes looks a bit harsh now & I gravitate toward charcoal & navy. When I was dark brunette (pale blue eyes, cool skin undertones) I was a winter palette, now I’m wandering into some lighter cool tones. It’s fun to continually evolve in both fashion & life. Aging - & the wisdom it brings - is a gift!

I ve had grey hair since I was 30. I am 68 now. There has not been a day when women would ask me how I could accept my grey hair or others trying to convince me to colour them. I have always felt confident with my grey hair and I am happy to see that women feel the same now . Yes it is important to wear the right clothes the right coulours and have the right attitude to avoid looking old.

Navy blue was NOT my neutral ages ago with SPRING, pale and golden almost stawberry hair. I was one of the people that was color profiled for the Original Color Me Beautiful book. Navy looks great now! Also black and white for my platinum hair works well now you would think that would be a Winter. I still wear silver and gold.

I agree with others that it would be so helpful to see various people with the colors and tones that work best for them, with also demonstrating how the warm and cool colors do or don’t work on them!

I’m a hairdresser, I had a lot of negative feedback when I started growing out my color. Now, I’ve never gotten more compliments. Even from the people that said don’t do it! 😂

The models are beautiful. I need a sense of humour when I look in a mirror😅

All of the other you tube videos I’ve seen on this subject assume that going grey means that your coloring is getting cooler and softer. When I grew out my gray, it came in as a very bright warm cream (from a dark brown). So happy to hear you discuss that not all gray is cool!

My gray is mixed with golden blonde and reddish blonde. Giving the overall effect of silver and gold, when it shines in the sun. I’m loving it. Best thing I ever did was quit coloring my hair.

I much prefer my grey hair to the previous natural drab brown. Years ago I had a colour analysis done and was typed as an "early autumn," but find that the earth tones don't work for me anymore. Strangely enough, black was given as one of my neutrals, and I still have that as one of my wardrobe staples along with peach (my skin tone) and teal (my "high" shade). My colour analyst also said I could use "all the metals," which is great because -- surprise! -- I am leaning a lot more towards the white metals! A few years ago, I purchased an outfit in burgundy, and whenever I wear it, I always get compliments.

I’m 61yo l am quite silver now use be dark brown. lm glad your doing these videos as lm basically wearing navy all time but l had noticed it’s a bit dark, so l thought maybe l need to get my winter colours in their softer hues.
