SCP-9095

Published 2023-04-29
Object Class: Safe

Description: SCP-9095 is a small portion of Southern California coastline, located near the town of [REDACTED]. The coastline is only 100 feet in length, and is abundant with rocky outcroppings, though the amount of seawater composing SCP-9095 is unknown.

SCP-9095 appears to retain a limited amount of sentience. Persons who mock the water, throw objects at the water or make rude gestures to the water are suddenly attacked by SCP-9095. The attack is not lethal; rather a means of teaching the person a lesson. The seawater retreats back, but surges forward at about 20mph, crashing into the shore before submerging the person in water. While the person is submerged, they are beaten by, according to reports, "oversized fists", until they surface. SCP-9095 then returns to a docile state, gently crashing into the shoreline as waves.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9095 is to be under constant surveillance by a small research team and CCTV. Only during testing is SCP-9095 to be provoked. Civilians are to be deterred from entering SCP-9095's Containment area under the guise of a spike of dangerous amoeba in the area, and that cleanup is ongoing.
