[NEW] KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE - Episode 21: A Pure Heart Filled with Light

The old Timeline episodes that do not need to be updated, story or content wise, will be added there as well. — Explaining the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project — As many of you already know, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project started back in April 2018 as a way to prepare all of us for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you do know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, that it's extremely easy to lose track of them. I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then—it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!) Still, the requests and messages I received in the past few years made me reconsider my plans. More than anything, I did plan to complete the KHUX saga, as it was the only incomplete title when KH3 came out. So here we are! Now that KHUX ended I have everything at my disposal for making the ultimate, complete chronological version of this title. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project—this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. New players would be spoiled about some plot points, so be warned. This project gives you a different perspective on specific events, and the adding of new musics, flashbacks, callbacks and secret reports, makes the whole experience even more unique and immersive. A: No. I’ll just reupload the episodes containing flashbacks/callbacks that we got to see after the release of KH3. For instance, the beginning of Birth by Sleep will be reuploaded since I’ll have to add the dialogue between Master Xehanort and Vanitas at the Land of Departure, occurring in Dark Road. 2) Q: Will the old episodes be deleted? A: No. All of the episodes will stay, but the new ones will have the text “NEW” in the thumbnail and in the video title. The new episodes will replace the old ones in the Timeline playlist in my channel. 3) Q: Will you be making KH3 as well? A: Yes, but my main goal was completing both KHUX and Dark Road. I do have some plans for KH3 but I’m considering of using the PC version of it, so I can disable the music through mods and do some…special stuff. A: No. KHUX will still finish on Episode 11 like I planned years ago. Dark Road will start on Episode 12. Only the beginning of Birth by Sleep might have a small change of numbers in the playlist. 5) Q: Why did you put Missing-Link in the intro alongside the other titles? A: Because...never say never. There's no way I can put the whole story of Missing-Link in the Timeline, not in the near future. That game's story might last some years, like it happened with KHUX. However, I did want to include it in the panels titles screen, so we finally have a complete timeline screen, for once. I loved how the fairy godmother played a nice role in helping Aqua out with the Cinderella situation and not only that reminding Aqua she can’t easily just destroy Darkness with light since both light and darkness must be in balanced. Also that there is many ways in dealing with the darkness. It also shows how Nomura done a great job implementing the Disney characters in the KH storyline like with Hades for most of the series and the fairy godmother in BBS KH1 and remind. Let’s see if this keeps up for KH4

I know the vast majority don’t care or are indifferent to the stories of the Disney worlds in Birth By Sleep but I do think that most of the worlds that Terra, Aqua and Ven visit seem to connect to the overall story and for each of their own experiences and developments. Especially during Aqua's visit in Castle of Dreams when Aqua wanted to stop Lady Tremaine after darkness within her before being stopped by the Fairy Godmother and learns that light and darkness need to be together instead of destroying one or the other.

I like how the Fairy Godmother sent Terra to the Ball when she could have just had him ride along with Cinderelly... 🙄

Edit: this a re-upload due to a mistake of reusing a prior Xehanort report. Terra has arrived at the Castle of Dreams where he finds Cinderella sobbing as her dress, the last memento of her birth mother, is now in tatters thanks to her stepsisters Drizella and Anastasia tearing it apart. After defending her from the Unversed, the Fairy Godmother comes to make Cinderella a new dress along with some glass slippers and a pumpkin carriage to go to the ball. She even advises her to return to home from the ball before the magic wears off at midnight. Terra then escorts Cinderella to the ballroom where she dances with Prince Charming, while Terra battles with an Unversed resembling a symphony conductor. After hearing about a mysterious masked boy controlling the Unversed from the Grand Duke, Terra runs into Aqua and then heads off to find Xehanort to get some answers. Aqua then heads to Lady Tremaine’s house where thanks to some help from the Fairy Godmother, she shrinks to the size of a mouse to help Jaq get the key to Cinderella’s bedroom after she was locked up by Lady Tremaine so she could have Drizella or Anastasia try on a glass slipper that Cinderella lost while trying to leave the ball. After Lady Tremaine trips the Grand Duke, making him drop the glass slipper and breaking it, Cinderella shows that she still has the other glass slipper, and it fits her foot. Later, Aqua fights Cinderella’s carriage that has transformed into an Unversed, due to Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia’s jealousy of Cinderella. Later, Xehanort is shown meeting with someone.

In this episode of birth by sleep, Ventus is absent when aqua was absent in the previous one.

Loving the additions to the timeline but there’s something I cant help but point out. The quality of these new episodes seems to be quite pixelated and 480p looking. That’s not a dodge at the project or even Everglow but its something I cant help but notice and it makes it feel not worth watching compared to the old episodes which were for the most part pixel perfect. I may just be nitpicking and making something out of nothing, but I love this timeline series, and this minor gripe actually makes it very hard to watch, because it feels like I’m watching a YouTube video from 2010. Please let me know if I’m crazy but I cant be the only one noticing this.
