BGRM comes home!

After years looking for a permanent home for The Bluegrass Railway Museum, todays site in Woodford, Co. was donated by the county to the museum and 5.5 miles of track from what is today Beasley Rd to the Kentucky River were acquired by the museum from the Norfolk Southern Railroad. This clip shows the move of the accumulated museum equipment from Lexington, KY onto the site of the museum today. The line in the video is now owned/operated by RJ Corman Railroads up to the point of the gravel and dirt road the train crosses over at the end of the video. This rough crossing is today Beasley Rd, the main roadway into the museum, and several other venues now located where there was only empty fields when this video was taken in 1984.
