  • Bro that flashback not even a minute in, seeing the old room brought back so much nostalgia
  • @byDuvan
Seeing it next to you makes me realize how big it is, it’s incredible
  • @JobSaunders
I also think it still holds up to one of the best box designs too. I don't mind the ones with black backgrounds, but they lose the excitement of buying the set with a cool box, especially since each sets like the AT AT hold their own iconic story.
  • David, thanks for showing how the display stand displays to the Falcon. I bought and made the exact same stand for this. I am currently in the middle of building the UCS Falcon. Of course I started this journey last August. Instead of saving up for the $850 or so, I started by printing out the parts list from Rebrickable and adding to a wanted list in Bricklink. Then, I looked at what parts I had, and placed several orders for in store pick up with the Brickheads store in my area. I also sent there and picked individual parts from their loose brick inventory. The Sticker sheet was from Germany and the printed pieces (Cockpit, Antenna, etc) from Australia. So I spent a little over $600 to acquire the parts. I spent a few days separating all the parts by function in many clear cups and bins to make the assembly easier.

It is absolutely crazy that it's been 6 years, I still remember it vividly when I picked up my copy
  • What made the Falcon the best UCS set for me was always the "doing just a bit more". Like adding an interior, an alternative dish, many minifigs. All things they didn´t need to do and most UCS sets also don´t do but it just gives it something extra. Like the UCS ISD, it looks amazing on display but that´s just it

As someone who bought the knock off stand off of Amazon (exact same design as yours) I have had no issues with it, however I will probably upgrade to a clear stand like you showcased in the future. Needed a quick and cheap way to display it so I just went for the knock off. Otherwise great video! One of if not the best LEGO set of all time.

This video was a great idea! With so many big sets these days, you can be forgiven for wondering if this set is still as great as it was when it was released. I've been going back and forth about whether or not to get this set for years now. On one hand, it looks awesome! On the other hand, I don't think I can justify that high price tag, especially when there are other big sets like the Venator and Hogwarts Castle on my radar. Plus, I have to think about how much more expensive it will be raising my one-year-old as he gets older, especially being a single dad. Also, I share your views on the Last Jedi! It's nice to hear that some people appreciate it!
  • This set is just so good dude, it’s impressive how well it still holds up today, if this set released Today I know everyone would be SOOOOOOO HYPED
  • @garycpriestley
Totally agree with all your comments! It's a great set that still gets comments from guests seeing it for the first time when it's covered in 6 years of dust..... Very good review. My only complaint with it is the attachment of the upper panels was always a little flimsy and whilst they 'fit' together very well visually they could have been locked in place a little better.
  • @TopicBricks
Yeeeeesss! Great review David! This was a fun throwback 😄
  • I remember getting this back in July of 2020. When it was announced I was amazed. I had to save up and work some OT but it was totally worth it. I wanted to pick it up in person in store but it was always sold out. So I ordered it online. I was so nervous it would come damaged or get lost/ stolen. But it didn't and I LOVE it. Worth the $850 & $800 price tag. I also have the ISD, AT-AT. Too still need that Venator tho!
  • @viperson9818
It’s honestly a fantastic looking LEGO set coming from a non Millennium falcon fan. But in terms “best out of box” I will have to say the At-At looks the best.
  • @Glaeos
My Dad and I built this a few months ago, got it on display with that same stand next to the UCS AT-AT. Both are such awesome sets, fully agree with you on all your points here
  • Spent my whole life hating Star Wars up til earlier this year. Fell in love with it and its lego sets. This Millennium Falcon was a masterpiece
  • Very lucky to have this set, iconic Ship, the ultimate Falcon. Thanks so much for this review, I am looking forward to when I have time to build it. I got a great deal and am very happy with my purchase, a dream come true. Amazing design and beautiful ship!
  • @KjipGamer
Bought the knockoff stand, it holds up suprisingly well, been on there for about half a year. A couple pieces didn't quite fit while building the actual stand, so I had to file one piece down a bit before I could assemble the stand, but it's done wonders ever since!
  • @herrgyula
The coolest SW set ever! I do think that it looks great on a vertical stand, but I really like the coffee table display with a Death Star hangar.
  • @bobbyc912
Definitely a sight to behold when I see it displayed at the Lego store but actually intimidates me to buy, build and display such a humongous piece (plus getting a stand for it). I enjoyed watching your review though and your enthusiasm for it
