No. Drive knight I believe was trying to kill genos after they fused. He detached and left as the core became unstable, if I remember correctly. And I'm sure they collected the date from the battle, and may have known about the danger of fusing, since drive knight is the one who suggested it. Perhaps the hope was dr bofoi figured out what the organization couldn't, regarding the next step in powering the robots/ cyborgs.

Not sure if any of the theory content is watched but the story is evolving and being rewritten so that's a great sign because the story is the focus.

Drive knight is a monster cyborg…. He refused to join the monster association.. He is against human and monsters equally.. he wishes to make everyone a cyborg in a way like the borg! He was trying to keep genos away from Bofoi because he is a human scientist! Drive knight is trying to frame bofoi for robot attacks by imitating bofoi tech! Just my guess😮
