It was an animal shelter. The dog he took was scheduled to be put down. He saved the dogs life.
  • Oh no. Edited out the Miss Perkins scene. "Your membership to the Continental has been by thine own hands. Revoked."
  • The arrangements Vigo meant funeral arrangements for his son....the clipboard on the dog he took said the dog was scheduled to be put down

It was John's intention to remain in retirement after Viggo's son was dead. When Viggo said, "Make the arrangements," he meant for his son's funeral. It wasn't until Viggo killed Marcus that John decided to go after Viggo.
  • His wife was the vet that operated the animal shelter that was how she got the first dog for him. If you remember when she collapsed it was at the same place as the last scene when he and the second dog are walking away.
  • Rumor is that the actor who "killed Daisy" was so upset in having to act that out that he had to play with the dog for awhile after.
  • The surprise on Millie's face when the "S" word slipped out is the most adorable thing I've seen in a long while. Love you guys...keep on keepin' on.
  • One of my favorite things about the Wick franchise is that John has to reload his gun. In every other movie the protagonist just gets unlimited ammo. You can literally count the # of times he fires before needing to reload.

John Wick lets Francis live for a reason. When he says he lost “over 60 pounds” he was telling John how many people were inside, so because he gave John the heads up he was spared.
  • @tricitymorte1
Keep in mind, John had been retired for a few years when this takes place. He was rusty. The following 3 movies just keep getting more intense.
  • The story goes that they found the cutest puppy they could for this movie because they wanted the audience to be so heartbroken & outraged when they unalived the puppy. It definitely worked.
  • @lukenovak2494
Seeing how she reacted to the first knife scene in John's house.. I'm so excited to see her reaction to the display case scene in #2
  • @lnwolf41
There are 4 movies and each get better than the last. You get to know more about the world he came from. And there is a slim possibility of a #5
  • @ItsMe-cz1pi
The genius behind this movie was killing the dog. Everyone including the ladies was ok with what happened to the bad guys after that.

At the end John is at a international shipping port. In these ports are animal quarantine areas. These are places that hold incoming animals for up to 21 days to insure no infectious diseases or dangerous animals are brought into the country. John takes what is considered a dangerous breed and was scheduled to be destroyed. In the Red circle. John is set upon vigo's son. Not to kill him immediately. But to take away everything from him before he kills him. John kills one of the friends friends , then takes away the feeling of security from Iosef Tarasov . He then waits for Iosef to call his friends phone. Where John says to Iosef "Everything has a price" letting Iosef know John will not stop until Iosef has lot Everything including his life.
  • Wick mentions to Francis, the bouncer at the club, that he had lost some weight and Francis stated he had lost 20 kg, Wick was asking in code how many hostiles were in the building. Francis' reply was 20. Because he provided the information to Wick he was allowed to live.

The 'no more guns / no more bullets' lines often get overlooked. Vigo wants John to drop his gun and fight hand to hand. John's telling him he's only dropping the gun cos he's out of ammo.
