  • Percy’s actually kinda terrifying, I bet most people are glad he’s a good guy
  • When Nico said “ you are the strongest demigod I’ve ever met .” He probably could (or maybe did ) meet dead demigods like Heracles.
  • Percy survived the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens, stated to be more powerful than the eruption from the 80s (so at least 24 megatons, more than 1600 times as powerful as the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki) which is an insane durability feat. He held the weight of the sky for several minutes, first with Annabeth's help, then solo, which is an utterly insane strength feat. He has overpowered multiple gods and titans in their own domains (like the goddess of misery and poison and the sea titan) and trumped multiple others in contests of power or Skill (Ares, Hades, and Hyperion). He has strangled sea monsters, bullied ancient cyclopi, overpowered entire armies, and made the giants of the Heroes of Olympus look like a joke. This is one of the most objectively terrifying characters in fiction.

I feel like in most other stories characters who would have all these abilities would appear too perfect, but with Percy we still see a lot of his weaknesses, so he does not appear impossible to defeat or unlikeable. Personally I can still identify with him regardless of all his abilities

Fun fact: Jason trained for 12 full years and Percy trained for five summers, but when fighting in Kansas, Percy was equal, if not better, then his cousin
  • Percy Jackson is hands down the best novel series I’ve ever read. It’s a shame Hollywood didn’t do it’s movies justice.

Percy is also extremely smart. Like Hazel said, you should never underestimate Percy. I don’t think we’ve even seen Percy at his peak yet, such as the toxikinesis he did in HoH.

No matter how many time I read it, I will never get over Percy controling the poisons in Tartarus. It's just feel so... chilling Makes me wonder if he could possibly bloodbend like Katara

Percy can also cause earthquakes as seen in The Labyrinth, it was the main factor in mt. saint Helens blowing up, and in The Son of Neptune he uses this to destroy the glacier. also in the Labyrinth he used sea shells to bring the sea to land (he summoned saltwater geysers) and in The Lightning Thief he instantly recognized the sound of the dinner horn as a conch shell

I think what you are saying is: If Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson had a no holds barred battle, Percy would win. Cuz Harry only ever uses the disarming spell, which riptide would appear back in his pocket.

Percy also has very minor Electrokinesis as in the Last Olympian when he summons the storm he mentions that lightning was flickering around him. "Lightning flickered around me. The clouds darkened and the rain swirled faster. I closed in on Hyperion and blew him off his feet"

when percy was in tartarus, did anyone else get worried on what grover might've felt? same when percy was in the supposed coma/memory loss between BLO and SON
  • @sifilore9462
In the books Percy could summon saltwater from a seashell 🐚 since it’s naturally ‘from’ the sea 🌊. In the movie he could use his vitakinesis/healing on others too, if u ask me that’s good both during and post battles for ur teammates.

I think we should also recognize that Percy’s wonderful fighting ability can be contributed to his loyalty, stubbornness, and amazing his ability to run straight into a fight without thinking 😂. He find out about a lot of these gifts due to his fatal flaws - stubbornness and loyalty- but it’s awesome because it can also make him human
  • @ellispring6216
I think the first time we see percy getting stronger in the water was his fight against the minautor, since it was raining during it.

Reading the books, Percy seems like a very adorkable character and it always took me by surprise when other characters were like "oh, that's almighty Percy Jackson". His humble persona just doesn't feel like he's at level of Haracles

I haven't read the Percy Jackson series (but I really want to), but I was overjoyed to hear "All demigods have ADHD". We never get any representation, so hearing that an entire cast of characters with ADHD that are actual characters exist makes me so happy.
  • Percy: He's back! Kronos is back. Annabeth: How is he back, Seaweed Brain? Percy: Luke was used as his vessel. He seemed to want to punish him for not successfully finishing his schemes. I saw it in my dreams. Annabeth: Percy, you cannot keep seeing through other's eyes. Percy: Sorry, Wise Girl. I can't always help it.

Great new video. Sometimes I forget just how powerful demigods are; especially the main characters. Hope you do more of these.
