"Huh I didn't think the movie was that bad, what's everyone mad about?" reads book "Rage understood"
  • Petition to call these movies the "Peter Johnson" movies, not the "Percy Jackson" movies
  • @ouchthehedge
A son of Poseidon being seasick is like A child of Zeus being afraid of heights...no offense, Thalia.
  • @neroquin
The fact that thousands of fanfic writers all took more care writing their fanfics than these writers took writing a whole movie

"boats don't float underwater, they sink. there was a movie about this" shows titanic poster this line is genius

Harry potter and Percy Jackson: *get adapted into movies* Jk Rowling: *cries of joy* Rick Riordan: *cries of disappointment*
  • Can we talk about how the boy-scouts that Tyson scared off shouldn’t be able to see him as a cyclops due to the mist?
  • Not only did the movie disregard the book, it disregarded the ACTUAL MYTHOLOGY
  • The fact Clarisse and Percy had more chemistry than Annabeth and Percy in these movies is truly upsetting.
  • @JaviiBebe
Honestly I think... if they go on with the next movie, they will make "Nico di Angelo the next villain... in name of his father"
  • @caydenpruiett
“I guess the moviemakers just wanted a scene with an abandoned theme park” damn, if only there was a great scene full of character development set in an abandoned theme park. That they decided to cut from the first movie for some reason

Harry potter book fans: "Goblet of fire is the worst adaptation ever! They ruined Dumbledore!" Thunder stealer & Ocean of scary things: "hold my sprayable mist"

If there was a third movie I don’t think the director would survive our wrath
  • @Jennabumbo3
He did it. The unthinkable, the impossible, the untolerable, the inconceivable, he watched the Sea of Monsters. Big respect for you. Hope you didn't suffer too much
  • @Ilinca_Popa.
This man is amazing. He watched both the movies after reading the books and is still alive. Respect.
  • If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a special effects artist: it doesn’t matter if you tell the director/producer it’s a terrible idea, or how many people tell them that, they always think they know better and insist on it anyway. These two movies are the ultimate example of that.

The only good memory I have of this movie is that someone said "depths of Tartarus" and my friend shouted "DEPTHS OF TARTAR SAUCE?!"
  • I can’t even lie, “don’t walk on my roof” ate so hard I don’t care if it feels out of place
  • Grover was actually also meant to be on his own quest at the beginning, as at the end of The Lightning Thief he went out to look for the god Pan. This then led him to getting captured by the cyclops, which Percy was having dreams about due to the connection that Percy and Grover had. Those dreams and knowing Grover was in danger was why he wanted to go on the quest in the first place, to save his friend and also the camp, not because he wanted to be seen as the hero.
