London Bridge is down. Four small words that changed the course of history, but with the most immense impact. The matriarch of the nation, the foundation stone of stability for so many people, mother and grandmother to her own family. Those four words would trigger unparalleled news coverage. The greatest breaking news headline in 70 years. In a year of unprecedented celebration of historical milestones, the second Elizabethan age has finally drawn to a close. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II is dead.

As an American, the passing of the Queen affected me so greatly because she was the last world leader of the early 20th century. She served in WWII. Worked with Churchill. She met with JFK. Saw man land on the moon. The rise and fall of the Soviet Union. All the way through the largest pandemic in history. She had unparalleled wisdom from this breadth of experience. Her loss is a loss to all of humanity.

Even after nearly 2 years of her passing, her loss is still hard to accept. God Bless The King

4:10 This was 2 days before the Queen's death and she must have known she was at the end of her earthly life, and yet look at that smile on her face. Absolutely radiant. Does that look like someone who is afraid of death, or someone who knows she has made good use of her life and awaits what comes next in joyful anticipation? Her humble and simple Christian faith is inspiring.

Queen Elizabeth had so much wisdom. She ascended the throne at a time when women were not world leaders anywhere. She bravely took the reins and never looked back. She was a dignified example of female leadership and benevolent authority. She was a wonderful woman and I miss her presence in this world.

Her entry into Buckingham Palace was one of the most touching moments of the those mournful days. The police escorts bowing their heads and the crowds lighting her way with their “torches” are images I’ll never forget.
  • She will always be remembered as one of the best monarchs of the kingdom

As an a American, Queen Elizabeth II was the only British Monarch I knew of. I was born in 1953. She was a dynamic woman and shall be missed. RIP Elizabeth. Once again you shall be with Philip in a Heavenly countryside. 💐

A wonderful tribute. Still find it difficult to believe she is no longer with us.
  • This is truly lovely. The way she glanced at George W Bush before she spoke cracked me up. I had never seen that before. We had a lovely monarch and I honestly thought she would never die, which sounds silly because everyone dies eventually but I think like other people, I took it for granted she was there and always would be. 8th September 2022 was certainly a weird day and a jolt to realise nobody is immortal. Even Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you ma'am for your wonderful and long service as our Queen. You will never be forgotten

When I heard the news in Colorado, I was preparing to fly to London that evening for a vacation planned months before. I can't express what it felt like to be there during that time. I'm an avid royal watcher and always admired Queen Elizabeth's grace and dignity.

I so enjoyed hearing King Charles speech again and getting to see video of Queen Elizabeth. I am American but , I really liked Queen Elizabeth as she was such a graceful and wise Lady. She always put her best foot forward in all she done and was such a pleasure to see. I miss her terribly and can only guess how much she is missed in the U.K. . Sending my love to the Royal family and its peoples.❤🇺🇸🙏❤❤❤❤

The Queen's funeral helped me see the beautiful landscape of Scotland and England as well as the traditional finery. Thanks to all the television channels for telecasting each and every detail.

Prince Philip was definitely the uncrowned king. Once he passed away, Queen Elizabeth was truly heartbroken. You could tell she would join him shortly.

Beautiful tribute to a wonderful Queen, rest in peace your majesty.

Had me in tears, Proud to have served in Her Majesties Armed Forces. The Queen was surely Heaven sent
  • Charles absolutley looked so stunned, it must have been so incredibly painful yet it was shared with the world. I do hope that both King Charles and Princess Catherine recover well from their cancer diagnoses. ❤❤

I wish they would have included the vigil by the Queen's 8 grandchildren on the day following the Vigil of the Princes. Seeing William, Harry, Beatrice, Eugenie, James, Louise, Peter and Zara together paying tribute to their grandmother was a profoundly moving sight.

Didn’t intend to cry like a little baby tonight. Can’t be helped! There will never be another Queen Elizabeth.

She became Queen the year I was born in America in 1952. I still mourn. She was truly a remarkable woman. There will never be another like her.
