This was when we truly realized that benrey wasn’t joking when he said he wasn’t human.

I love how this bit went. How absolutely terrifying to be an entity like the Gman and have something unexpected like this happen. Assuming that Benry is more dangerous than he lets on was a smart move lol

It does well to capture the menace of the G-Man right up until Benrey shows up, which hilights the absurdity of Benrey’s character. It’s really effective at making an already funny scene downright hilarious.

this was one of the scariest, yet funniest moments like the realization that benry is outside the diagetic laws of physics everybody else has to abide by, where even the omniprescient G-man is surprised is terrifying

Probably my favourite thing in the entire animatic is just 0:52. G-Man's reaction, looking to Gordon for confirmation, and Gordon doing what all of us were doing when we first saw this. Plus the slight animation with the swaggle, nicely done :)

This is my favorite moment in hlvrai. Not just because it’s funny, but because it’s also kind of scary. In og Half Life, Gman is portrayed as this powerful unworldly deity. It took the combine a lot of power to have him contained, making it clear that it takes a ton in order to defy gman. So imagine how it must feel to have another entity that not only isn’t affected against Gman’s powers, but also shows no sign of a struggle. Gman should be terrified.

i love the idea that gman is in genuine horror that benrey is even able to resist his fuckn universe bending powers and then gordon is just so used to this he's just laughing at his antics
