In this video, I’d like you to join me as we discuss the insanely rare 1/18 million chance a wild Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield has Star Sparkles. You may be asking, “aren’t star sparkles more common, where square sparkles are rarer?” While you’re technically right, not every kind of Pokémon you find follows these rules, which we discuss in this video. We’ll go over the technical ideas behind how Shiny Pokémon encountered in specific ways, like by overworld encounters, grass encounters, or fishing encounters, have a 1/18 million chance to have star sparkles, and how a concept that you thought you already knew may not be what you thought at all. You may be familiar with other rare shinies, like a Marked Shiny Pokémon, but in terms of the 3D generations, this is one of the rarest shiny Pokémon you can find, which at a 1/18 million chance, may just feel impossible.

    Gotta admit, I thought this video would be clickbait because I completely forgot that star sparkles were so rare in certain encounter methods.     THANK YOU i have been wondering about this for YEARS, ever since i first saw the datamines on the topic back in (i think) late 2019, but i never knew for certain how it worked because the topic is so niche and not many people know about it, so i couldn't actually find anything about it back in 2020 when i was researching the topic! glad to see a well-informed video on it

    My shiny Trapinch I found accidentally during my first playthrough has star sparkles... Someone calculate the odds for me -Found it on Route 6 at a 1% spawn rate -No charm -Star sparkles I thought I was lucky enough..!!
