Simon Belmont Reveal - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

On August 8th 2018, Nintendo held a special Smash Bros. related direct. The very first thing they announced was that Simon Belmont from the Castlevania franchise would be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However he's not alone, along side his reveal Richter Belmont was also announced as an Echo Fighter for Simon.

Can we talk about how even through he is portrayed as a coward Luigi still has the determination to clear out haunted Castles? Luigi clearly does not enjoy those things and is not geared up for the job but he still goes to do it because he knows its his duty (untill the Bellmonds show up) and no one in the mushroom kingdom would do it if not him

I like that Simon isn't anime'd. The original games never were, it's nice to see that they acknowledge that and keep the characters as close to their originals as possible. Greatest respect for the source material. Same goes for Megaman, they know how to rejuvenate a character.

The last monster that stalks Luigi is Carmilla, the floating weeping mask from Simon’s Quest. Great throwback to the first two Castlevania games on the NES.

I've seen this trailer god knows how many times, and each time I get a mangasm every time Divine Bloodlines kicks on and I hear Richter say 'You don't belong in this world monster!' although I would've preferred the biblical 'Die, monster! You don't belong in this world!'
