I am so grateful for any support you choose to give, financial or emotional! 🙏 This week I thought I'd try my hand at lock picking once again . This time however, instead of a key lock, I learn to crack a combination lock.

Almost expected to hear "Click on one ... nothing on two ... three is binding"

"I think Master is a pretty reputable brand [...]" LockPickingLawyer would like to know your location
  • "Master is a pretty reputable brand." LockPickingLawyer: "Once again an inexcusable design flaw. You're gonna love this."
  • In a year he’s gonna be like I escaped Alcatraz with a hair brush

He should meet the lockpickinglawyer, he looks at a lock and they open up.

I started watching Lockpinglawyer at some point last year and I got inspired to get a lockpick-set and a bunch of padlocks to play with. Then I thought "wait.. I use a padlock on the door housing my car tires and stuff in storage next to my parked car". So I try my (by now) ok skills at picking to test how easy it was to defeat and I got in after only 5 seconds, several times in a row. So I replaced that lock with the one lock in my ever-growing padlock-collection that I can't pick no matter what I do. Now I feel my stuff are more secure. That's one use for this kind of hobby.

“So it seems like the first wheel is binding” “1 is binding, 2 is loose, nice little click from 3, and 4 is binding. Lets start again from the beginning here...”

"Master is a pretty reputable brand" unfortunately that is a misconception, their locks are very easy to pick, to the point that their locks are known as beginner practice locks
  • Mike: "I took this cheap lock to pull it apart" *Whips out the ones our school give us which they claim is very expensive...

"Only pick locks that are your own". Right, I'm going to go to one of those escape room things, and instead of looking for the clues, puzzles, and riddles, I'm going to go right to the locks and break them using these techniques. Let's see if we can break any records.
