Geez, Haven is fast becoming just as judgemental as Lynx was in Ch2S2. Driving potential allies (Burning Wolf) away or back to I.O. because of pettiness, while Lynx and Rox in Ch2S2 were incredibly arrogant and treated Midas with contempt. If people (esp the other Disciples of the Light) had actually listened to Midas about how Oro was evil, and helped Midas instead of antagonizing him, Midas would never have had to build the Device and capture the other Disciples to absorb their power. In Ch2S2 there's the excuse that Oro's manipulative magic was driving everyone to paranoia, incl Midas, to make sure Midas would lose all allies and his agents' loyalty and feel desperate enough to go to extremes. Regardless of Burning Wolf not having been in control of his mind when he killed his own pupil Ronin, or that Slone told him propaganda lies. Characters like Haven and Harlowe and the Scientist are not even aware of their massive in-group/out-group bias, they go, "We've decided you are unredeemably evil, and we're good, so we let our prejudice overrule common sense!" THey would rather lose to the Imagined Order than make strategic alliances. Stupid.
