James: These shows aren't movies Hamilton: allow us to introduce ourselves

He sang the names of about 20 different TV shows all in 1 BREATH...marinate on that for a minute! This guy is brilliant!!!

Man, he legit cried at the standing ovation. He's genuine AF... you can feel it
  • When they all stood and cheered him, quite unexpectedly, he cried; and giggled with all the lighthearted joy of a child, overcome and sheepish. Omg that touched me truly. And I teared up. What a genuine soul and spirit he has. Still so humble after all his success. A beautiful moment for a beautiful human being. 😭
  • James: has breakdown Sophia: feeling what’s happening on an emotional level

James Corden had to work damn hard to get where he is today. This was an exceptional opening! Perhaps he could bring that same fun back to the Academy Awards. :)

James rocked this. It's such an incredible opening. Seeing him close tears and smiling, you can see he poured his heart and soul into this.

It's his genuine love for Broadway that you appreciate.

I can just imagine James Corden doing this entire opening number in his shower every night for a month before the ceremony.

it’s so weird to see him standing right next to the guy who played barry first

Those dancers....legs for days, muscle & grace...the men lifting James Corden with ease, the ladies in 3" heels...and all with a smile, even while they're singing. Incredible.

He works so hard. Movies, voices, late night TV, and things like the Crosswalk Musical must take a lot of preparation too. And then still have time to rehearse this. He deserved the standing ovation!

“Law and Order corpses” * Alex Brightman raises hand * Typecast as dead
  • Watching this in 2020 because the wholesome way that he chuckles at the end when he gets that standing ovation and the genuine emotion that he shows to finally getting to the place that he has worked toward his whole life, just helps me believe in humanity a little more ❤️
