Guess what? Not everyone in the fitness industry is on steroids, nor is everyone simply out to make the most money possible. Just because you got burned doesn't mean that everyone making progress in the gym or anyone bigger than you is on something. Some are. Some aren't. And if your standards are low, you're going to be wrong a LOT of the time. These types of videos really do a lot of damage. It's OK to be skeptical (even of me) but it's very easy for the skepticism to cross into cynicism and low standards. These types of echo chambers such as the "natty or juice" section on Reddit will ABSOLUTELY limit your progress as a beginner. I can't imagine where I'd be if I had stumbled across that type of content as a beginner lifter...I probably would have given up, or thought that 16" arms were my limit. I actually agree with a lot of Revival's points, and if I had to decide if someone was natural or not, many of them are solid metrics. But so often people see a picture or video, often under good lighting, when lean, with a pump, and flexing, and decide IN ADVANCE of using any other metrics that they are not natural. They then try to reverse engineer the "carefully thought out system" to explain their emotional beliefs. Oh, he doesn't have a strong 1 rep max on the lifts I do! Oh, he does more volume/intensity/frequency than me, how does he recover? Did you ever consider that those two statements EXPLAIN each other? But no, it's right to "Must be on drugs!" Ultimately, Revival has plausible deniability here, but he's made his opinion known in the comment section several times. I don't care whether you think I am natural, but I do care about the pathetic blackpilled messaging that keeps anyone watching your videos small, and smallminded.

Everyone bigger than me is on steroids. Everyone smaller than me is also on steroids but I'm just so good that I passed them.
  • It all comes full circle. He coined us the noble natties, now we’re the noble “natties”
  • @TBone4Breakfast
Calling it now. Revival is gonna jump on gear in the next few years.
  • @CrusadesOClock
The way he awkwardly has his arms out at his sides then chops the frame so it makes his shoulders look bigger gets me every time 🤣🤣🤣
  • Revival fitness is making coath proud with the most out of pocket nattys or not
  • @Fazlifts
Kinda sucks you're still being called out for this stuff, but hey it's a compliment! (Kinda). Also really stupid that people STILL think you're weak. I pointed this out previously, your lifts across the board are well above average and very appropriate for your development when we take into account volume, form, rep range etc Keep pushing Geoffrey, you're smashing it 🫡💪
  • ever since revival said that all natty lifters want to use steroids and the only reason they arent is cause they are afraid of needles made me lose respect for him.

To be honest, RF got big - particularly in the natty fitness community - off of his Doucette call out video but kind of never really had a ton to offer his audience beyond that (to be clear that callout video was generally great in that no one had so effectively organized the specific contradictions within Greg's "fluid" definition of maingaining up until that point). I think there's value in fitness content coming from people at all different stages in their journey - even if its something as simple as the encouragement for a newbie that comes from watching another newbie make the same journey - but its worth being more conscious about whether this particular person is the best source for what you're looking for And as pretty young intermediate bodybuilder - without either education or extensive "on the ground" experience - maybe RF isn't the one people should be looking to for high level programming advice or insight into what is or isn't possible in the long run

If anyone has ever bought GVS book, you will understand why his results are the way they are, I only started training actually hard since I came across this channel, and actually used controlled eccentric with proper form throughout, it is not a surprise that you will get better results if you become better focused. Salute to GVS for responding in this manner too.
  • @freakied0550
"If they could make more money, of course they'd do it" is the mentality of someone who's broke.
  • @zerodood
I like RF overall, but that “most of you natties would turn to roids if you weren’t scared of needles or knew where to get them” was no doubt his single greatest L take of all time. As you implied, he was literally just describing why he doesn’t use them.
  • That ending was EPIC! I watched this guy about 2 years ago (not regularly), but stopped rather quickly when it was clear that he has a lot of maturing to do. (same with Greg Doucette)
  • @mattpujol1111
People definitely underestimate what is naturally achievable, and like to put limits on themselves AND others(i.e., 'genetic limit') without actually intelligently designing programs, training/eating properly, and nailing recovery, while those who have nailed the process continue to progress.
  • @powersurge_beast
He's got some great content but the negative energy is pretty real I'm with you king
  • @53Memati53
I still can't process the fact that EF did the whole video with invisible lat syndrome keeping his shoulders flared to the side and cropped the video to hide it...
  • @FitLabb
RF is unfortunately a big bag of cope who very clearly projects a lot of his own feelings of failure and insecurity onto others in the industry to somehow justify his own lack of knowledge, experience, and progress. The guy creates an echo chamber in the comments of his videos & promotes bullying of any dissenting views of what he says. He should focus on keeping an open mind to keep learning something new every day from those like GVS, NH, Basement Bodybuilding, myself, and many others who have been doing this longer than him and are more successful than him, instead of trying to paint everyone else as bad, wrong, or as a fake natty if they’ve done better than him in the gym personally and/or professionally. Great response Geof, think you handled it well & the points made were very reasonable and helpful to your viewers. Wishing RF all the best, & still hoping he can find his way back one day from the “dark side” of the fitness industry.
