Random fact: I was watching A Bug’s Life the other day and realized Negan is basically Hopper.
  • Dude was one of the best & most terrifying comic book villains I've ever seen. I love his development throughout the show a lot too tho.

wont be another villain like s7 negan, every scene with him felt unpredictable, like nobody was safe from him.

There is no arguably. He WAS by far the most captivating character. It wasnt even close.
  • I think Negan is what the Governor wished he was back in season 3. I think Simon is somewhat a reflection of The Governor except Simon lacked a silver tongue.

Fun fact: Negan and Lucille's song "You Are So Beautiful" is actually the same tune Negan whistles. If you sing the first lyric, the note change from "...So" to "Beautiful.." are the same notes whistled by the Saviors. Another reason to prove your point of Negan failing to cope with the loss of his wife.
  • I heard that on the comics he explains that he wears the leather jacket because its difficult for zombies to bite thru leather.

Negan was my favorite character in the show. To me he would have been the most realistic person to meet in times like that.
  • I'm so glad you're covering The Walking Dead villains. Too many channels sleep on this legendary show's antagonists. They all deserve a full analysis video for their psychological complexities. Wonder if you'll cover the Termite Cannibal leader Gareth.
  • Sherry probably had the best take on Negan and his leadership style. She and Dwight weren't exactly good people either, as they betrayed Daryl even after he returned to help them. But in her letter she reflects that living with the Saviors wasn't better than being dead. Under Negan, her husband she once loved became a dark, cruel person, while she herself ended up in a harem - both out of necessity to survive, yet at the cost of their conscience. I think this speaks for most Saviors. They didn't want to be there or do the things they did - they only obeyed under the threat of pain and terror. Negan and his twisted system changed people into animals in the process. It's ironic how he coped by thinking he was saving people, calling the place Sanctuary, when in reality he enslaved them and it was a prison.

Wish we got a spin off that started off with Negan as the protagonist and In The Mind of A Villain would be doing an entry on Rick.

I wouldn't say he's living a life of luxury but it is at the expense of others, its more like surviving at the expense of others. A good psychological analysis of a fictional character. I see the bat, Lucille, as his representation of strength just as his wife Lucille was his source of strength. That persona of strength is transferred to the bat. That's why when he escapes, that's his first priority, to try and regain that strength. Just to realize that it just represents the strength he has in his memory of Lucille but it's definitely a coping mechanism.

You were incorrect right out of the gate. Lucille didn't kill herself because she thought Negan abandoned her lol she killed herself to save him, she knew she would weigh him down and get him killed in the new world, she was gonna die regardless. She did it for him.
  • Great video negan is one of my favorite characters from the walking dead. Unlike governor and Shane Negan actually found a way to be good.

Tbh That’s what you need in an apocalypse, that cult leader mindset is needed. Whether you trick people into thinking your a god or your just that charming that people trust your leadership. It’s honestly a good trait to have

And his character development has gotten even better on the new dead city show with maggie
  • I genuinely enjoy channels like this and The Vile Eye😭😭😭😭helping me write
