There is always speculation on teams getting moved and yet very few are likely to even reach the negotiating stage. I take a quick gander at the board and go over who is currently in that conversation.

None of the Original Six will move. Ever.
  • This man just got into Canadian monetary policy to talk about hockey, we don't deserve him

I can't wait for the next expansion team to be in madagascar.

How does this guy not have a spot on the NHL network? He KNOWS Hockey. Keep up the great work.

Worst part about American/Canadian sports is that moving teams in so common and fans end up speculating about which group "deserves" a team and which doesn't.

I think the NHL should move the Coyotes to Iraq

THG’s most popular video, 6 years later, here is the move we’ve all been waiting for.

No way the Bruins are ever getting moved, same with the Canadians

I can see the Panthers moving north to around the West Palm Beach area. The area of West Palm Beach was ranked 10th in the nation when it came to Stanley Cup Final viewership. There's no reason the team couldn't be successful there. I however do not see the Panthers moving anywhere out of Florida.

"Quebec has the arena in planning" Nope, it's already built, and it is NHL ready.

it's almost an hour drive from where I live in North Phoenix. That's the issue with the Canes and the Panthers too, they build a Arena in the Suburbs and expect people to drive out there. And there is no mass transit to get there, you are forced to drive. Arenas are Centralized locations they need to be placed in Urban area if they are going to be successful.

The reason Carolina hasn't had much fan support is because they've been so bad over the years. And that honestly happens with every struggling fan base look at the hawks attendance before Kane and toews or the penguins before Crosby and Malkin. But I really think with the canes on the rise more fans will come out to support.
  • You've come a long way Shannon,from a corner then to a whole room now...congrats.

Interesting to see a 2021 update on this topic—with the Islanders apparently moving, but to the new arena near Belmont Park, plus the new Seattle team.

Looks like you were right, Gary Bettman gave you the plan all those years ago.

Great video but minor correction: Quebec's arena has been open a few years now hosting the Remparts.
