I've taken a slight detour from 90's rock and ventured back to 1976 to bring you an early, unreleased version of Blue Oyster Cult's classic hit from when they were trying to break into the dance music scene. ;-)

Growing up, hearing BOC's "(Don't Fear) the Reaper" always made me feel a sort of yester-yearning for an era of rock music that I wasn't even alive for. It's a bit of a departure from the Tool and Alice In Chains versions of Apple Bottom Jeans that I most recently uploaded, but I really wanted to pay homage to great rock music that influenced me from various decades, and give it equal treatment under the universal laws of shitposting and meme-ification. :-P

You know when this song came out critics really jumped on the negative connotations of not fearing the bouncer but they really needed to listen closer it isn't a song about doing uncool things in the club it's about the celebration of booties and the shawties that get low with them.
  • This feels like an alternative universe where you can write a song however you want, with whatever style, tone or musical notes, but it has to be a version of apple bottom jeans
  • "I"ve got a prescription and I'm gonna need some more Reeboks with the straps".

"Shawty, don't fear the bouncer" LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
  • @Smapti
Flo Rida missed an opportunity by not having any cowbell in his version

This could hardly be better put together even if it was a genuine song and not a parody. Big BOC head here, and you’ve absolutely NAILED the production and tone of their sound. I hope you work as a sound engineer or mixer or something because you’re extremely good at it.

This is by far the best rendition of the Apple Bottom Jeans meme so far

OKAY BUT WHY DOES THIS SOUND SO GOOD LIKE THATS IS PERFECTLY REPLICATED BOC.
  • @NerdsmithTV
I don't know why I didn't expect the "Low, Low, Low, Low, Low" chorus, but it absolutely got me off-guard. So perfect!
  • So that’s three of my favourite songs that have been “shawtied”. Keep em coming.

Finally, a SGL parody that actually matches the original song’s cadence, meter, and theme. No joke, this is really f$&@ing good!

I was expecting this to sound terrible but its very refined and high quality
  • The way he says redefine booty pants scratches that one part of my brain, so satisfying
  • @JeanMarceaux
This is so unspeakably cursed, I can't even Can we send this to Buck Dharma and the other Cultists?
  • Gonna play this for my dad and gaslight him into thinking it’s always been this way
