Correction: Chris said that the X100VI has no AF joystick when he meant to say D-pad. We apologize for the error!

Props to Jaron for going above and beyond to deliver the camera for the review.

Hard to believe the X100 I bought 13 years ago would turn into a legacy.
  • @RohamBroccoli
They did everything I wanted with the X100V. See you in 2030 Fuji❤ Enjoy your VI, guys.
  • @AdamNevins
I'm so glad you guys did a quick take of this new camera. I've preordered one and can't wait to upgrade from my X100T. I'd love to hear more from you about the video capabilities once you've been able to spend more time with it. I'm wondering if this could be the ONE camera for both photos and video.

Hey, about your complaint that you have to swith through all simulations: If you safe your favorite simulations as presets (even with some changes like grain or DR adjusted) and put that on your dial, you only need to change through those you have safed! You can even do propoer film simulations of Kodak Film stock and have them on a quick dial like this!

Nice way to start the day with a camera review video and coffee. :)

I really hope that Fuji figuring out the small form factor ibis means there is a future for the x-pro line. Still my favourite body-type of all of the fuji ones out there but with the full x-mount lens freedom

Jordan looks so happy at 2:05 ! I can't imagine how he was able to control himself when he was so overjoyed!
  • @60400
If you want to toggle through a few simulations only, create them as custom setting modes in the Q menu instead. I have a few with the ones I use there instead and you can have specific curve and dynamic range settings. Much better control imo.
  • I have paid my absolute respects to this video by watching in 1440p resolution 🙏🏻
  • @henrahmagix
I was waiting for Chris' comment on the focal length, I'm glad to see it included again 😅
  • @Draconis8888
Looking forward to the full review. Major props to Jaron!
  • 8:09 I think the video is good for what the product is. It’s made for an on-the-go photography experience. People who want video performance obviously go for video-centric cameras. Plenty to choose from in that space.
  • @IanYoung
Completely agree with having the preferred film simulations more accessible in some way 👌🏼
  • @TerryW5379
Great hair line and fullness, I’m jealous! Thanks for the video

I love these cameras, I have a X100T myself, but my god the price.... Even second hand. In fact, to my bafflement, I realized that the price I paid second hand for mine about 7 years ago is the same as the second hand prices of today - only the very oldest are somewhat affordable (well in Europe at least). For a secondary body, it's really a luxury item.

Love the fact that you aren't letting you hatred of 35mm die. Very nice sight dig at it without getting bogged down.
