The best way to improve your game is to improve your grip. Enough people never even think about trying something different for holding the dart, but it can make such a big difference! I see lot of good dart players hold the top of the thumb and index finger together and the middle finger to make it stable. Feels the best for me too.

i always have my 2 fingers and thumb on the front of the barrel and my index finger on the sharp pointy bit so i get the best accuracy and direction

This is the only upload that made any sense and I found interesting! I believe that any beginner should use a thin barrel, as they are easier to hold and to throw with. Bigger barrels tend to make gripping harder and this then leaves little chance to throw in a straight line! Eric Bristow harrow darts are okay, if they still do them, and I used to use a similar style by Stefan Lord. Spend no more than ten pounds and you won't go far wrong!
  • In regards to where you should hold the dart doesn't it come down to where it's centre of gravity is? I never understand how players can hold it otherwise.
