I found a great set at F.G. Bradley's in Toronto. They're Shot darts made by Puma, expensive, but wow!

That would be 18g darts. An 18 kg dart would be like throwing a medium size 40 lb dog at the board. Before you buy any serious darts you should first try friends or league members darts. diffrent lengths weights grip style etc. find the combo best suited to your play style then buy similar. Then experiment with shaft length and flight style. I just bought 26g hammerhead 9/32" coarse knural darts 90% Tungsten and new longer points to help with balance. Short shafts and standard dimplex filghts.

i just threw my first dart last week.. while watching a friend of mine win the championship at a local c league soft tip … he got me into it… i picked up a cheap set of unicorn darts.. they are 18grams.. they feel to heavy for me… is it a huge difference dropping one gram or not

this website gives advice and recommends sites to buy darts from
  • My 1st board was a cheap one. Sucked, you'd hit nowhere near a wire and have the dart bounce out. After frustration with that I bought a DMI Sports "Bandit" board. Been about 5 years now and still have not seen a bounce out where a deflection or wire wasn't involved. Your gonna have bounce outs, they happen. But this board has had prolly over 2000hrs of play time and is till holding up well. Seriously thou, $40-85 for a top quality board is very reasonable.

Just buy a cheap board that is affordable! I've never come across any dart board that didn't allow me to play any worse than I do normally, so why is Bob trying to make us pay more for boards? The point of darts is to enjoy playing and why should someone pay huge amounts of money?
