  • 😊YOU hit one of my compulsions I have had since age 10, now 65 yrs. Old. I trust in ERP. I have always saw God as judgemental and not believed in his love because my childhood and fearful religion caused scruplosity.

I have been watching your videos for some time Matt, and bought your book too. I really like the way you explain things in a way that everyone can understand. Thank you for all the good work that you do.
  • I’ve been dealing with this for four years shortly after I got saved, but I have realized that there’s a lot of stuff in my past too and a lot of fear based tactics that have been introduced to me as I was growing up. I feel like there’s honestly no hope for me I’m hardly ever present with my family, I feel miserable all the time. I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve gone to therapist and I didn’t really get a lot of breakthrough at all of it and I have mentioned multiple times that I was dealing with OCD it feels like I’m ruining and wasting away my life

10:39, well, a Christian God is not very helpful in this regard. Sure, he's LOVE, but he also created Hell and will send people there to spend eternity with Satan. How is this supposed to help OCD? I read one Christian webisite that said to truly get out of the fear of hell, one had to make peace with the possibility of ending up there. I think this is spot on approach. Nothing else helps.
