Morrowind's ideal knight (who was also loved by Vivec) - Salyn Sarethi

Just a short video about a certain Buoyant Armiger who may or may not be Morrowind's ideal knight. I wanted to cover the topic of "knights" and what it means being a knight in Morrowind, but decided to talk about this character instead. It's a more focused topic. I mean, Salyn Sarethi wrote a book of poetry, challenged the Imperial Legion to a duel of wits while crusading against the forces of Dagoth Ur on a Red Mountain And received a blade personally from Vivec.
I'm going back now to making longer, better videos.

Buoyant as in "it floats" but also "having a cheery personality" or "something that rises to the top" Armiger as in "a person allowed to use heraldry" So essentially while at first pass it appears to be describing some sort of a Marine or Naval Knight it could also mean a knight who rises through the ranks quickly, or a knight who keeps up morale with his personality and charisma.

Can't really remember, at the moment, but the construction set has a pretty neat description of the Armigers. Calling them, something like, "Vivec's personal order of samurai stealth poets."

Yeah I agree with your assessment of salyn if vivec is King Arthur then salyn is his Lancelot. A true elf of chivalry and virtue

More like Salmon Spaghetti. Thanks for the videos, they make the hours at work fly by.

Dudes will see this and think: "Hell yeah"

Another great video. These are awesome stuff, hope you do more of the similar content. (Svaka čast :)

That’s how you wrote a good character!! Which it not there for quest but also lore and to be admired!! One of many reasons I adore morrowind

I get the warm and fuzzy feeling from your videos describing Morrowind NPCs. There is a real sense of interconnectedness between inhabitants of Vvardenfell when you look at these questlines. I don't remember seeing such things in Skyrim or Oblivion.

Wow! Morrowind never stops surprising! Thank you for the video!

The Bouyant Armigers were really cool. I do wish the game did more with them, though. Like their presence is there and a few quests involve them but I feel they weren't as present as they could be. But he is a cool character.

Love the super high production quality of your videos, and how you like to cover lesser known characters.

I always enjoy seeing Salyn, I feel like he really represents the best parts of velothi culture!

Pls keep up the great content. Your channels is a hidden morrowind gem 🤣❤️

Every time you drop one of these character based videos I immediately want to go back and play morrowind with these shared perspectives. It makes the world feel even more full than it already is with each character's background no matter how big or small

I think that you are amazingly cool to reveal a character using the example of a computer game. 10 out of 10

Love the video. I always thought knights were cool. I saw Bouyant Armigers around, but never knew alot about them. Might try playing one in a future run.

Down with the false tribunal

thank u 4 keeping the morrowind content up, dont shy in making that video about knights in vvanderfell, or even knights in ptr..?

I wonder why Skyrim chose to not have any knights especially considering Oblivion not only had multiple knight factions we could join but the Knights of the Nine dlc was a big deal. I understand it's not a Nord thing but surely a few wandering hedge knights from Wayrest/Sentinel would have come to Skyrim looking for work or glory.

It could acceptably be pronounced the same as bouyant. Boy-ent.
