I'll be making these to go with a plate I call 'Breakfast of the Gods', which is hummus, olive oil, red onion, avocado, feta, tomatoes, and olives. Can't wait!
  • Love watching John bake and cook! Educational, soothing, and entertaining! More please 😀
  • One thing I'm confused by: your question about "what you use pita for." It immediately goes into the tummy. You can't use it for anything after that. You might also want to let people know that once baked, the pita will last about 15-30 minutes. Or less, depending on how many people are in your house. After that it will be gone.

I made this today! My nephew drove up to spend time with us, and we decided to make pita breads. This is the recipe upon which I decided. It was great fun watching them blow up like balloons so quickly. I've made pitas before, but the trick to use a preheated griddle/pan/etc. in the oven did the trick! I have 8 pitas now waiting to be eaten.
  • In Bulgaria we spread some butter with garlic in it on the hot pita bread and we eat it with the main course. Some people also like sprinkling some cheese on top of the pita bread while is is still hot so that it melts. So delicious 😀
  • Pita is the biggest difference from shop-bought of any bread I’ve made and I’m certainly no expert. It’s like magic when the little pockets form,no worrying about poking you knife through the side trying pry it apart. So worth it to try if you haven’t before
  • Love watching you bake❤️always learn so much 🥰great recipes great tutorials, awesome instructor 😍

I happen to be lucky enough to live within walking distance of a Lebanese grocery store where they make pita 5 days a week. You can smell it a good block away. So, while I do know how to make pita and have made good pita, I'm happy to support a neighborhood business for pita. 🙂
  • Just gorgeous ! I love Pita. I’m definitely trying this. Thanks John.🤗
  • Just made these for the first time today and because of your wonderful step by step instructions they came out perfect. Thank you
  • Thank you for the recipe, John. But I have to say, watching your videos gives me such a case of kitchen envy. So much counter space! Of marble, yet. And a warming oven! A warming oven for crying out loud! 🤣🤣🤣 I love your channel, keep ‘em coming. 🫶
  • I made these today, so good with the chicken shawarma and yogurt sauce. It was a hit with the kids!

I made these today to go with some hummus that I made yesterday and it's fantastic. I have to say, you're my go to channel for baking now, as I've made 3 of your recipes and they've all come out really well. I love the way you explain things in a way that even a baking idiot like me can get great results.

I live in Cyprus. Of course I can buy pita everywhere, but I love making my own bread. It makes the house smell amazing. Can't wait to try this recipe.
