"“A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So, he loses touch with reality, and lives in a world of illusions. By thoughts, I mean specifically, chatter in the skull.

You can’t hold on, but you can’t let go. You desire to be somewhere in life, but this somewhere is always changing. Desire isn’t the problem, the problem is thinking that it is and trying not to desire, or continuing to desire, thinking you will get to this somewhere, which once again, has changed. For there is nowhere to go, there is nothing to be gained, and nothing to be lost. This seemingly hopeless process is necessary, for you cannot make a mistake, you cannot make a wrong decision. When you are ready, you are ready. When everything around you seems to be crumbling, it is the sandpaper, from a spiritual point of view, that is awakening you. Life is not a journey, it is an experience. You will get to where you need to be. Everything is unfolding the way it must, the universe is a constant, interconnected process, it is a happening and we are a part of this happening. Don’t forget this 🙏

His words are such a spiritual relief. Not so much enlightenment or encouragement… my body feels lighter after I listen to Mr. Watts

"Wanting to overcome the quaking mess and not have it anymore IS the quaking mess." Life changing words, thank you Alan.

This last line got me "An ego can't control emotions and feelings because it's simply isn't there"

We have more power than we realize. It's not what happens to you in life, it's how you respond to these experiences that counts. In 1970, 10 days prior to my 14th birthday I witnessed part of the beating my father gave my mom which killed her. When my dad came to see me and my siblings before going to prison, I stood 10 feet from him so filled with hate that I was shaking. Then I felt someone touch the top of my head and heard in my mind "don't judge him, God will do that. You love him and he is the only parent you have left". I felt all that hate flow out of my body in seconds. I went up to my dad, hugged him and said I love you and forgive you, please hurry back to us kids. I realize it was the Divine which helpd me and that experience strengthed me and enabled me to care for my siblings. I let go of religion in 1976 and have followed an abundant Spiritual path since.

His book "The Way of Zen" in 1967 while I was in juvenile solitary detention up in Wayne, New Jersey, I was sent there after smashing 4 black kids in woodwork shop with a wooden mallet, they were spit bombing me and as soon as one hit me in the cheek I calmly walked to their bench and went full Thor on them, I was full of violence after an abusive childhood, tormented with demons. But that book was a doorway to higher levels I could ever imagine existed. In ascending fashion level by level and still to this day travelling. 🙏

I believe there is a way out of being stressed and full of anxiety. Ive been there, but ive also gotten myself out of it and on my way of being 100% healed from anxiety. The way i did it is finding my purpose in life and walking my life path. I found my purpose here on earth. When you find your passion and your purpose for existence, things come to you a little bit easier and as ive experienced as im going through this journey is that no matter what happens, i know that things always work out for the better so i know now there is no reason to be stressed and worried. But the key is to achieve this, you got to find your purpose. Find your passion and walk that path, and life will become a bit easier for you. That is all our purpose in life.

His voice and the words he conveys both pierce and sink at the very core. His deliverance of message is so effortless but yet very effective. Powerful!😊

About 3 years ago, my wife started changing. We’ve been together for 11 years and have 3 kids. Her approach towards life become YOLO and her mantra became “it’s never that serious.” This transformation hasn’t come without its share of hardships; and leaning ways around it has been most beneficial. Mindfulness is key; and realizing that only you can bring yourself peace.

As Watts said "the Master is a magical father" and that's so true for me, he's always in my heart, his talks and books guided me through my rough times and helped me to connect with my soul, open my heart, have faith in life and to be ready to accept whatever it may bring with gratitude and love🙏✨❤️ om namaste
  • I don’t what I’d do without the vast wisdom of Alan Watts. God bless your soul legend. In a world where everything has been consumed by confusion and greed we spiritual people can still find enlightenment

I needed this right now. I've been away from listening to allen watts for a while. I had my first son and found out that through unfortunate events, he will be my only child. Everything has been well for the last few years, but I have found out that my son has autism. It's a little early to find out to what degree. I am ashamed that I have let fear get the best of me. I fear so much for his future. If I could live forever, I would care for him forever. Never before have I been afraid to die. For the first time, I can't imagine dying and leaving him on his own. Letting go has never seemed to be a problem for me. I've never been attached to things or even myself. For the first time in my life, I have found the attachment that I don't think I can ever let go of. I wish everyone well. ❤❤❤
