  • It's crazy how long they've been talking about toxic waste from corporations and yet it hasn't stopped in 50 years
  • @tonilafountain636
This reminds me of the quote I once read, "If a law is only enforced with fines, it is only a law for the poor." Corporate America is fine paying fines, just another cost of doing business.
  • @Nevraldi
Why is this not on national news
  • My mom is a toxicologist for my home state. She’s been studying PFAS for close to a decade now. Her description of the way novel chemicals can be brought to market is so depressing — we in the US don’t investigate chemicals until harm has already been done, rather than rigorously testing chemicals before they can be brought to market in order to prove they aren’t toxic to humans and the environment. It’s in our drinking water. It’s in the food we eat and the plastics that contain everything we buy at the store. It’s everywhere. And we have no idea how bad it is because it’s still a relatively new chemical. Fucking sad. Oh yeah, and carbon filtration systems?? They work great…. but what do you do with the waste? It’s a forever chemical. It’s the same fucking problem over and over again.
  • @Nonotherthan
I used to be a HAZWOPER (hazardous waste operations and emergency response.) we worked for 3M too much. PFOAS cleanups are a joke. It’s impossible to clean up and these companies know that…. If you create and spill a chemical that is impossible to clean up, you should lose your right to create and use that chemical. A few million dollar fines are a JOKE to these multi billion dollar companies. It’s a disgrace.

You now have a new legacy sir, exposing evils you didn’t know existed. I pray your family flourishes beyond what you ever knew possible and that your legacy would positively affect not only your family but your entire community and other communities experiencing these atrocities.
  • @pinschrunner
So there are zero organic farms in Michigan now basically
  • @Boodlemania
As a fellow cattle producer who sells direct to consumer, this situation is absolutely heartbreaking.
  • @frelee
I just want to give some props to Vice for this reporting. Several years ago they did a story about John Deere tractors and how farmers are essentially hacking them to be able to repair them without having to pay the company. Please make more of this sort of content that informs the public about the issues that small farmers face.
  • @sallylawson6742
That poor dear man 💔and his family just heartbreaking Don't give up!! Many people are praying for you.
  • Imagine finding out your home, your community, is a toxic wasteland. Let's not forget all those cancers you might get or your children might get. This is a true horror show.
  • @bluejay3333
The USDA is also to blame for not regulating chemicals being allowed on farms. Roundup is a huge example of the USDA letting crops be sprayed with a chemical that has been known to cause cancer.
  • @sqeekykleen49
This was well put together, you wont find that on mainstream media.
  • @LVSpeedweLL
Bio solids were offered to our community garden: we declined to use it. Prayers for this family 😢 so frustrating to see this happening.
  • @aquari_2344
This is what you can expect when you simply trust big businesses to make their own rules
  • Is scandalous how companies can create so much damage and not be legally responsible to mitigate any of it. It's always the humble people left holding the bag.
  • Broke my heart and my my veins are almost exploding… But, What about MONSANTO???
  • @badlandskid
And YT has a Teflon pan advertisement on this video. 🤔
