Eddie the little engine that couldn’t. He huffed and he puffed, and he nearly passed out. He played verry sad songs, her eyes where filled with tears. Of course it didn’t sound much, the flute was filled with spit.

The flute is usually harder to get a sound out of than other instruments because you don’t blow into a mouth piece But across a hole in the head joint, then we get into tone, aperture and embouchure, articulation, etc.
