I live in Alaska, and two local grocery stores are selling whole frozen Pompano here for around $6 per pound right now. Halibut is running around $28 per pound right next to them. Amazon is convenient, but usually pretty overpriced.

Awesome variety of fish and the pompano is always a winner. The recipe at the end looks amazing. We were at the seven mile bridge at the same time, it was windy, we managed to catch a few decent fish. Thank you for sharing your video!

I used to catch a lot of them on Hatteras right in the wash on the beach. I never cared for the taste of them . I preferred the whiting (sea mullet, northern kingfish, or whatever you call them) over the pomps. One thing about Hatteras you never know what you’re going to catch! I have caught mahi from the beach. I’ve never hooked one, but people have caught sailfish from the beach and piers! Prayers for you guys and your families, I hope Megan is doing better!
