Dave, these are the cars myself and my sons learned in in real life before moving to Carrera Cup and GT3s We raced legends in the UK on street circuits for years.

God I wish these cars on road would get more attention. They’re a blast to drive road races with. I have so much fun racing these I bought one IRL. I’ve been trying to get iRacing to bring back the road series of these. I don’t like the oval but the road racing these do every season is fun as hell

These are absolutely fantastic on club tracks. They get a little longwinded on larger stuff like Hockenheim, but they're fantastic for fighting and sliding on stuff like Bikernieki.

Hey Dave and Julie, heres a couple of suggestions for the series. 1. Use shorter, twisty tracks that are "free" like Winton and Knock Hill. 2. Keep the races short, 15 minutes max, but have one 1 hour long enduro just for giggles. 3. See if you can get Iracing to throw a few credits in for those who participate. All in all, it looks like it could be a great fun series, thanks for trying to get it happening👍😄

43:45 I agree mostly about short tracks and these cars. Yet this combo gave everyone a nice break every lap down that long straight. Not every short track can give you a breather like this.

I have a friend that used to race these in real life. he said they were great fun until all the young up-and-coming kids started entering the scene and begun to race very aggressively, to the point where it wasnt fun.

One of my favorite cars in AMS1 & 2 is the Australian version of this, an ARC (Aussie Racing Car). It is the same car, but w/ a fiberglass body resembling a modern Chevy Camero

This is a really fun car to drive, the mod I used on assetto is quite bouncy around the corners. Not sure on the iracing version but looks just as fun.

Love it. You need to to add Daytona Road Course for the series even though we will want to keep most of the racing to short tracks. The first time I saw these cars race was on that short oval using pit road at Charlotte.

I’ve tried these cars in AC, they are fun to drive. Unfortunately I don’t have IRacing as yet and need to take that next step and race against other people. Great vid though!
