Welcome to our latest official development video update for 2024! We've taken a deep dive into department progress and bottlenecks, and hope to show you some of what's involved in making a total conversion mod.

Skywind is a volunteer-run total conversion mod for Skyrim that re-creates and re-imagines Morrowind, with everything created from scratch, and with full voice acting. It’s not ready for download yet, but you can help us get there!

Join us on discord.gg/skywind, volunteer at tesrskywind.com/volunteer, audition at tesrskywind.com/ccc, or follow our socials via linktr.ee/tesrskywind

  • The time--twenty years?--dedicated to this project is simply astounding. I played Morrowind in 2000. I am now 77 years old. I hope that I am still alive when the project becomes available. Even so, what has been accomplished already is simply amazing.

I got married, had a child, and I'm still following the development and looking forward to it very much.

I'm a sound designer and mixer for my job and while I don't have a ton of time right now, I feel so inspired by this video and this project that as soon as I have some time I'm going to submit to join you folks.
  • I can't wait for Skywind and Skyblivion to both be finished. I'm gonna get locked indoors for like 2 3 years straight.

As a programmer, I love the fact that coding is the only one of your 16 departments that doesn't have a percentage progress.

For me, the spell sounds are THE most impressive feature here! I truly despise most of Skyrim's vanilla (loud) spell-casting sounds. These new sounds are fantastic, and so varied. Everyone has worked their socks off to create something phenomenal here. It makes me emotional to see (and hear!).

I was 18 years old when I first played Morrowind. It has captivated me to this day. Im now 42 years old. I hold the lore in such high regard, that I have all of the in game books 📚 printed and bound in leather on my bookshelf.
  • This and Skyblivion are something that I'm looking forward to the most! Can't wait to enjoy what the OG TES fans have played before.
  • @Airmanagild
I can't believe I've been following this project for 12 years and I'm as hyped as the first day.
  • @MadCatEmmsie
Skyblivion and Skywind Making Updates So Close to Eachother has Got me SO FUCKING EXCITED FOR TES AGAIN!
  • @59nerevar
I first played Morrowind in 2003. I'm very excited and impressed. I was 44 years old. I'm now 65.
  • @Incariuz
14 armor slots and mixed pauldrons/gauntlets making a return... You guys are amazing, thank you.
  • @RenaraHawke
Hey Everyone! Skywind VA here! I was in the VA section with the Black and Red background. Thank you all for your support and your positive messages! The team truly appreciates them! One more step forward! Let's get this thing done!
  • @SkillJoy.
17:03 That NPC voice is incredible. So much better than vanilla Skyrim. Insane quality all around
  • Oh shit. I think I might throw a application for audio mastering. Didn't realize it was in such need.
  • 15:45 No shade to the OG VA's for Morrowind, but definitely wasn't prepared to hear voice performances with this much vigor, energy & even catharsis. Kudos.
  • Bringing back all of the armor slots and all of the skills from Morrowind - even spears??? Fantastic. You folks are amazing
  • This is quite an expensive venture. And to have all these different people and departments working together across the world (I'm assuming) Is really remarkable, and for them to be voluntarily doing this all out of passion is really incredible. Very very cool indeed and I wish all the success for this project.
