Once I had seen that this video had posted. I grabbed my Quest and fired up Youtube. This video was fantastic. I was in the room with you. It was crazy awesome and informative. when you can see a presenter's red socks in a video just by looking down. This video was on another level.

This is a really great video and very informational. I also really love this vr format you did.
  • We don't all have huge play spaces, but it still works great. I actually make my guardian a little smaller than my already small space.. just to be sure I don't bash anything. I am thinking of taking it outside for a try though. You can also buy smaller circular VR mats that you put dead center.

This is absolutely a must watch video for VR newcomers. Heck I’ve been in VR for over a year and still learned a few things from this video. Great job and looking forward to the next one!
  • Good tips Matt, not watched the vid in my headset yet but will be sure to check it out later. I know I nearly pulled a light fitting down when I was reaching the pipes in Vader Immortal, just realised in time before I fully grabbed and pulled but my first thought was "wow this game is realistic!" lol

Please, please forgive me-I watched on the Index! Yes please more videos like this. I am fine with the resolution, you do not need to get new cameras! It felt like I was right there with you! Great format, keep them coming!
  • This is pretty cool not many people do these type of videos so it’s cool to see someone doing it. 👍

Awesome. Safety whilst playing in VR seems like a no brainer but we all overlook things and take for granted that others around you know as well. Now that we are in the world of untethered VR, this safety information must get out there. Great vid 👍😎

Yes, it happened to my son's friend, he hit the ceiling fan.

Great video Matthew. Keep up the VR videos. I enjoyed that.

Another thing to think about is the light bulb that could be hanging above you. I have one right above my head in the rooms I play in. If there is daylight it is probably a good idea to remove the bulb in case you smash it.

I punched my low ceiling in my basement quite a few times playing Space Pirate and Robo Recall. Small injuries on my hands mostly caused by the controller rings hitting my hands. I mostly play in the living room now with an 8 feet ceiling. By pushing things away I can get a solid 12x14 area which is plenty. Once I tried the Quest in a school parking lot making a guardian of about 24x24, it was awesome, almost like cheating in some games though.
  • i think i have a problem. when i saw the circular video with the black outline it immediately made me....lets say... excited.
