  • I like to imagine that when Sephiroth was telling this story he started singing his own theme song.
  • Gravity is like, “Yeah, I’m here sometimes, but don’t let me get in the way.”
  • @DenisK21
The only two people Sephiroth ever trusted as friends. Once that trust disappeared, all he had left was his faith in his own humanity... and then even that was shattered in Nibelheim.
  • I love how between this and Kingdom Hearts, it’s firmly established that Sephiroth never starts a battle at full strength. He always holds back significantly, and as his opponent proves himself, he incrementally increases his power and effort.
  • "So smug, but for how long?" Literally the rest of eternity apparently.
  • @ragu8256
"Stand back, I'll take Sephiroth alone." - a soon to be dead man
  • I love how all three of them had their own unique themes to each beat of the fight: Angeal: calm but exciting Genesis: rockin ready to go Sephiroth: you dun fucked up, the orchestra is here to back me up
  • It still boggles my mind that this beautiful scene was released in 2007. On a handheld.
  • Good rule of thumb when fighting Sephiroth: DO NOT, under any circumstances, let his music start playing.
  • When you realize the sephiroth had everything taken from him by shinra His closest friends dead. Finding out that his whole life he was bred to be the ultimate soldier. So all his hatred comes out and decides to get payback by destroying the planet. Crisis core was one of the greatest games in this universe.

Genesis: hmph, u remembered Sephiroth: how can i not WHEN U KEEP REPEATING THE SAME SHIT EVERYDAY
  • So... am I the only one who saw that while breaking up the fight, angeal turned his back on sephiroth? He fully trusted seph to back off with nothing more than his body in the way and a firm look
  • Genesis: The world needs a new hero. Sephiroth: Yep. And it ain’t yo ass.
  • @nobgs4505
It says a lot that when Angeal finally manages to break up the fight, while Sephiroth was all too willing to stop, Genesis wanted to keep it going. And the reason Angeal wanted to stop the fight because he knew Genesis would get out of hand. He fully trusted Sephiroth not to go overboard with the fight, and Sephiroth didn't.... well, not as much as Genesis did anyways. And he did still get the lecture.

I love that as soon as Sephiroth goes on the offensive, everything starts breaking. Like, this mage knight starts using supercharged magic strikes and it dents the metal, and it's like "oh shit" Then Sephiroth just presses the attack button a couple times and the whole fucking cannon is in pieces.
  • Seeing Sephiroth smile makes me kinda sad for what he eventually became :(
  • @RyeRye071
SEPHIROTH HAD A SOUL BRO....THIS GUY HAD BEST FRIENDS ....I miss this game
  • Notice that when Angeal breaks up the fight because Genesis gets out of control, Angel faces and blocked Genesis with his sword, exposing his back to Sephiroth. He was vulnerable from behind and trusted Sephiroth to remain calm and not hurt him. He knew Sephiroth had a head on his shoulders and was more balanced than the arrogant Genesis.

I just love the way Sephiroth just slices the Junon cannon apart like its made of tissue paper.
