The S meter needs to be readjusted for both AM and SSB. But the radio does seem to have good sensitivity and it does not use a receive preamp! Thanks for watching Carl

OMG Carl the receive sensitivity is unbelievable! I noticed a broadcast station end stopping the s Meter! Is the 148f the same as the basic 148 apart from the frequency counter? Im sure the Board Number on mine is PC412??? When the Channel Selector is converted to 5kc steps are the alpha gaps then 10kc or still 20? Looking forward to the next installment :) Jodie :)
