I vote we make this Ayla’s channel at this point. She’s yet another of the vanguard of the new generation of women in guitar. A welcome presence in teaching.

I liked this lesson , I learned from this lesson. I been playing for 37 years and never knew most of the strumming patterns she played. I got to master these strumming patterns, i can hear creative ideas that i can create by what i heard in them. Thank you.

Ayla never fails to IMPRESS!! Loved this video lesson. The swung Jim & Jack sounds like the strumming style in one of my favorite classics by Eddie Rabbit "I Love a Rainy Night"

I unknowingly used variations of the Jim & Jack( straight and swing feel) and SOCA on some songs I played in the past and it is a great surprise to me that those strumming patterns have their basic origins found in this video. Great and informative content! Kudos to Ayla for one of the few great female guitar teachers of her generation😊
  • More ‘witchery’ from Ayla … I’m currently working on strumming patterns in Justin’s Guitar course and this lesson pops up. As a drummer of many years, at last, something I can do with relative ease! Great lesson (again!) Ayla excellently explained … love the ‘Jim and Jack’!! - Thanks as always 😊
  • Interesting strumming patterns young lady😊😍 I use the Jim n jack most of the time for CCR and couple other songs. I will try the Calypso next time, thank you 😊 💐

A great teacher: always organizes her subject matter in well ordered formats, delivers them in clearly articulated flow, and demonstrates the needed methods in such ways that the learner can relate with, and get easily carried along. More topics please…
