Pretty arrogant to think nobody’s heard of the 037
  • @jack14kd
Who's into cars and never heard of this car. Can't be many
  • The Lancia 037, a car you've never heard of... What! Probably the most beautiful and famous rally car from my childhood. It's like saying "Audi Quattro, nah, ever heard of it !
  • @AlfaGrale
My favorite car of all time. And I believe the prettiest rally car ever existed
  • Look at the SHAPE of it. They're just perfect. They really are something else. Legendary for a reason.
  • I remember wanting one back in the eighties, when there was one for sale at the local fiat/lancia dealership, it looked immense!
  • It's definitely beautiful. That and the 288gto were the prettiest cars of the 80s
  • Love the way Jack pronounces the Italian names with the right amount of inflection & intonation in the accent. He may be British, but he's still Italian at heart.

Wow what a unicorn of a car, you’re very lucky to see such a rare beast. Group B was a fantastic era of motorsport, something that we will never see again sadly. Those who have never seen Group B in action search here on YouTube - it’s mind blowing! Thanks Jack 👍🏼

As an Integrale owner I'm pretty sure most will have heard of this car 😉
  • One of my lotto win garage cars these. Enjoyable watch that Jack.

Group B was utterly crazy. It always felt like a disaster waiting to happen and, of course, it eventually and tragically did. The cars that the class allowed were extraordinary in their day and, like the 037, are still awe inspiring. I was lucky enough to get to have a very short ride in ac 6R4 in the late eighties. Very, very scary. Mostly sideways and deafeningly loud.
  • When it comes to roadsters, you Brits are truly hardcore! Much respect to you.
  • @miamimo70
Why would you want an electric car!? Listen to that!
  • Group B was the best.. shame how it all ended. What a gorgeous beast, a proper snorty, farty flame throwing nut case of a car!! Loved the Monte Carlo too, so pretty!!
  • Anyone who bought Car magazine in the 80s would have been aware of the 037. There was one at the Shelsley Walsh hill climb a couple of years ago - fabulous thing!
  • The 037 was expensive back when it was launched. I've owned my '76 Scorpion since the '80s and is the closest I can get to owning an 037....and yes, I have heard of the 037 and the Stratos as well.
  • I owned an 037... Pronounced oh 37...In 1999 for a couple of years before my 308. Certainly the best car I have ever owned and driven. Mine was number 34 of the 200 built. It is still in the UK, after I bought it from near to Venice.
