These guys are old-fashioned good natured souls. Yared is just so filled with humility and seems like a sweet man.

Hocker/Nuguse and Noah Lyles gave us two of the most exciting, heart-stopping finishes in Olympic history. Team USA is crushing it!!!!
  • That was the best distance race I have ever seen live. Absolutely incredible!

The 1500m is like playing speed chess during a boxing match. The fact that 3 Americans were in the final and TWO medaled!!! Great day!
  • @Wruckage
Has to be one of the best races of Paris! The energy was amazing! And the upset underdog made it so much better.

I thought it was over when Hocker was blocked in the final 100m .... the sprint to the gold was epic!

A race for the ages! Had Jakob not veered right and given Hocker that space in lane one, things could’ve played out differently. But Hocker wasn’t to be denied. And Yared’s smile and energy are just so infectious.

Hocker def putting out some chill Pre 2.0 spirit vibes, Pre would've loved that finish especially. What a race.

  • Great interview, guys! Almost as good as that incredible race! Congratulations, guys - you did American distance running proud!
  • Amazing. I remember the Steve Scott days. Great runner but never a medal. This is unreal. 👏👏👏

Hocker looks like one of those guys who fought the civil war.

Two genuinely nice guys, good people, and fierce competitors. I was rooting for Hocker to be the dark horse in this race. His Olympic trials performance was impressive. He hasn't had any of the hype around him of his competitors- he just quietly and humbly gets the job done. Two good representatives of their country. This was probably the best 1500 meter race I've ever seen and that includes the Coe/Ovett matchups. The top six all under 3:30 in an Olympic final is amazing. Often the finals are slow cat and mouse games. I'm not a fan of Ingebrigtsen but credit to him for running a very brave race and giving it everything he had tonight.
