  • Not just Hocker's win but having three Americans in the top five of the 1500m is just wild
  • @ultimatelv27
He will forever go down in history as that guy who beat both current World champion and reigning Olympic champion in the same race. Unbelievable!
  • @Legodoran
I was there in the stands and I don't think I've ever screamed so loud when Hocker started to pick up the pace. Amazing result. Go team USA!!!

Shout out to Kara Goucher, NBC commentator. She called out Hocker during the preliminaries, saying he looked really good, was all business in getting through, etc. And she did it again before the race, pointing out that he has a wicked last 100. Which he clearly showed… Well done.
  • Cole Hocker was just chilling at 4th & 5th most of race and then went crazy in last 100m. What an outstanding performance!!
  • @purpleyeti7440
The Americans worked together as teammates, pushed each other and paced this race perfectly👏
  • @GregDinAZ
Wow, that was awesome!! Hocker tried to pass on the inside, but was blocked off. Then magically the inside opened up again! If he would have been able to pass on that first attempt, he would have broke the world record. Congratulations young man! ❤️

This is the most unfathomable thing to happen this Olympics; what a remarkable result! Congratulation Mr.Hocker, you LEGEND!

100m gold and bronze! 200m gold and bronze! 10000m bronze! 1500m gold and bronze! And still more to come...What an Olympics for USA running!
  • That was one of the greatest 1500m races of all time. Watching Ingebrigtsen get hawked down in the last 100 is just so satisfying. What a season for middle distance!
  • @danrose3233
Brilliant move by Hocker to pass on the inside. His initial attempt was cut off by Ingebrigtsen but once Kerr began passing on the outside then Ingebrigtsen had to move that direction which opened up the inside for Hocker to push past Ingebrigtsen.
  • That race by Hocker and the other 2 US runners has to rank as one of the top US performances ever in Olympic track.

Cole Hocker!! Excellent job, way to go showing your absolute best during the most important race. Well deserved!! USA runners showed GRIT!
  • Just .25 off the American record. This is the best trio that the US could have had in a championship race. Well earned gold with an Olympic record.
  • @dennesey
How Hocker had to slow up on the final turn to avoid tangling legs with the leader and still rally is something I had to re-watch to believe. Nuguse's blitz was equally as impressive...only needed a few more feet for silver.
  • @SportGuyDMV
Hocker might be the best kicker ever. His momentum got slowed with about 115m to go and still managed to out kick Kerr and ingerbritsen. Simply amazing! Go USA
  • Congratulations to Hocker, Neguse and Kessler! Hocker just served Kerr and Ingebrigtsen a slice of humble pie.
  • @jlee4039
By far the most exciting 1500 I’ve witnessed in my 47 years on Earth!!! Go Team USA!!! Go Cole Hocker!
  • @darrellid
All three Americans with PBs in this race, and all three under 3:30. What a glorious day! Everyone's bagging on Jakob, and he deserves some humble pie, but credit him for having the courage to set an honest pace. Most amazing Olympic 1500m ever!!
