I'm a Western Australian, but am originally from the south of the Netherlands. I reckon the song has its roots in the festival of Carnival, which is held in the southern parts of the Netherlands. It's Carnival-music, beer-drinking music, & a good time to be had by all. My memories are strong around Carnival - I had uncles and cousins who sat on a kind of council, complete with wonderful uniforms, led by a 'Prince', which oversaw the festivities. 🍻😄

Snollebollekes is the alter ego of Rob Kemps. He's from Noord Brabant (a province in the south of the Netherlands). His songs are meant for parties big or small. He acts that he's a dumbass. In real life he's very smart. A few years ago he won the seasonsfinal of the quiz "de slimste mens" ( the smartest person). I really like the fact that you take an interest in our small country. Snol Bollecks is a highly intelligent dude actually! He got very high in the Dutch show 'De slimste mens' (the smartest human) He's very funny and witty as well. De Snollebollekes (Snoh-leh-boh-leh-ckes) basically started as a fun carneval act and well, kinda exploded, especially with this song. It's pretty hard to translate, but 'allemaal van links naar rechts de tent die wordt gemold' comes down to Everyone from left to right the tent (like a party tent/bar/venue) will be destroyed

I really love the Dutch, their language, their culture and the country, but I hate this song because I got an earworm 😂 Love from Germany 😘😄

Kingsday is celebrated on the kings birthday. We have free market where you,specificly kids can sell their old stuff like roys ,Board games but some also cell cookies, clothes etc . We also have parties like this . The royal family will also visit one of our countries to participate in kingsday games like koekhappen,soijkerpoepen , sjoelen etc .

I have been to events like this when I was younger and they are awesome ☺ we wear orange for our Royal Family who are called Of Orange - Dutch music/partying is just acting as dumb as possible and drinking lots 🤣😂🤣 I recommend going to a 538 party for Kingsday OR go to Mysteryland on Saturday in August
