Unused (?) Darkside animations

Rip my boy Darkside couldn't make it into Shadow of The Colossus so he settled with KH

Interesting. So it seems initially they were planning on programming a counter-attack in which Darkside would knock you off his shoulders if you tried attacking his head by climbing up his arm. I'm curious as to why it would've been cut beyond just time restraints.

I wonder if Darkside was originally planned to be a more mobile enemy with a gameplay style of shadow of the colossus with Sora climbing Darkside to attack. In one of the trailers for kh1 Sora jumps up onto Darkside to attack, and the first two animations seem to be Darkside sweeping Sora off while he's climbing. this is so neat, I'd love to see what Darkside was originally planned to be like.

That last one looks a lot like the 0.2 Darkside move when it summond the lightning!

This would have made Darkside much cooler if they had included these animations in the later KH games.

I actually know why those exist, in super early footage of kh1, Sora would have quick time events on darksides arm, my guess is when done successfully he falls to his hands and knees

Are you going to try to add those in for darkside? Hmm... Looks like the shoulder swiping must be to get sora off of him if the player was able to stay on it.
