I love the infinite loop that this implies. That he was so traumatized that he waited years just to go back in time and steal back the phone he's been waiting to use for decades, repeating the cycle. Edit: Before you comment saying "It's not an infinite loop!" You're correct, it doesn't imply it. It'd still technically be possible since it doesn't necessarily have to be his phone that he took the picture of the UFO with, but while it's possible, it's not a direct implication. My mistake.
