My sister is playing The Sims 4 right now and made her Sims sing this. I cracked up because it sounded so funny.

So the sim world must also have had a history of Scots, as they still say "lang syne" in the song, this could also explain why the language sounds like it's spoken with an American accent, as the highland clearances forced many Scots out of their country, some of whom migrated to America.
