    I remember it being launched. Over the years radio communications have improved which makes it possible to stay in touch. Was lost for some time. Time it takes to Rx a signal indicates how far away it is. It's incredible.

    I know the story it meets a robot planet and the 2 merge and it heads back to earth , planing to destroy all the carbon based units, but the USS Enterprise intercepts it, and saves us .😅
