This song came on the radio as I was driving home this evening, and brought back a memory of the most significant day of my life. Besides today, the last time I heard this song was in the afternoon of May 11, 1987. How can I be so precise? That was the day my childhood dream, to become an Airline Pilot came true. I had just completed my final interview with Continental Airlines and was offered the job. As I got in my car and started driving home I turned on radio and this song had just begun playing, and I was singing it loudly. That was the beginning of my 34 year career with Continental/United, which ended last year, when I turned 65, the FAA's mandatory retirement age.
  • Jungle life I'm far away from nowhere On my own like Tarzan Boy Hide and seek I play along while rushing cross the forest Monkey business on a sunny afternoon Jungle life I'm living in the open Native beat that carries on Burning bright A fire the blows the signal to the sky I sit and wonder does the message get to you Night to night Gimme the other, gimme the other chance tonight Gimme the other, gimme the other Night to night Gimme the other, gimme the other world Jungle life You're far away from nothing It's all right You won't miss home Take a chance Leave everything behind you Come and join me Won't be sorry It's easy to survive Jungle life We're living in the open All alone like Tarzans Boy Hide and seek We play along while rushing cross the forest Monkey business on a sunny afternoon Night to night Gimme the other, gimme the other Chance tonight Oh Yeah Night to night Gimme the other, gimme the other Night to night You won't play Night to night Gimme the other, gimme the other Chance tonight Oh Yeah Night to night Night to night Gimme the other, gimme the other :)

This was my dad’s last song. He loved music, he loved singing and dancing. The day before he died was a surprising “good day”, he wasn’t in pain or tired, he was laughing and telling jokes like he used to… and was singing this song by heart with my brother. It’s hard listening to it but this is probably now the most important song in the world to me now. Miss you, dad.

  • My dad past during Covid. He would always sing the hook to this song. I had a dream today, searching for him but couldn’t find him. In this dream. When I woke up this song kept playing in my head.I haven’t heard it in decades! I knew it was a message from him. Thank you dad, love you. 🥲

It’s crazy how a song can immediately take you back to a life that is long gone. 80's music just hits differently. I honestly think it was the best decade of music. 😍

Nail of Gilead Hello everyone! They will wonder who I am and why I have a channel with almost 200,000 subscribers without being anyone. In 2005 the YouTube platform was born and I had a video file with the Tarzan Boy song from Baltimore. So everyone could upload any type of video and I decided to try that one. I don't know the reason why YouTube allows me to have that video on my channel, but it doesn't generate any economic income for me nor does it generate it with any other video that I own. In short, thanks to that video I have a lot of followers, but I can't monetize my channel. Later, I uploaded videos that I made with my friends for fun, but they hardly had any views. They didn't matter either. Over time, my channel grew little by little, but it wasn't thanks to my videos, of course. Thanks to that music video that does not belong to me, I have managed to have so many followers, but they do not follow me, but that successful song that has now become even more popular thanks to the 2nd episode of the fourth season of Stranger Things. I'm especially excited to have so many followers, but I know it's not me they admire. For this reason, I have decided to resume my channel showing what I know how to do, draw. Currently, I am learning to draw digitally and Procreate allows me to show the process of my works. Little by little I am learning to edit videos and use music without copyright, YouTube has changed a lot for me! Before it was much simpler. If you still want to follow me knowing who I am, I will be very grateful, since I love to show my work. I usually really appreciate comments, good and bad, and I tend to reply to all of them. I have used a translator to explain this. Excuse the grammatical errors. Thank you very much for your attention and understanding. Peace and love for everyone! Nail of Gilead
