To keep your position in a specific car, first go to the showroom vr and set it there. Then it’s ok for all the races in this car.

It's a good old school, simple method that gets forgotten, of course one of the other tests you can do if you have a same size steering wheel, just move your head towards the top of your real life wheel and the virtual one and both should contact at about the same time. Good video well tested out.
  • I just lean forward a bit before the race starts and it puts me in the perfect position. You can also seat lower or higher when resetting to get the perfect height. Play around with different seating positions

Just spent a shit ton on this and loving it definitely the future
  • Yes! I’ve noticed this too. I have to pause and lean forward a couple inches and look down. Reset then lean back. They need to alter this slightly or perhaps ask for peoples height before hand. The default setup feels like the steering wheel is pressed against stomach.
  • I just crane my neck forward, looking straight ahead and hold the position until the VR kicks in when a race starts. Definitely needs a patch!

Great pointers! Another tip; to keep your head straight before the game centres you, close your eyes and feel what your body thinks is looking straight ahead. Sometimes having visuals in front of you confuses your orientation so letting your body realign with no vision is more accurate.

I've been making videos and racing In vr gt7 since it got support. I just did your trick and you need a pat on the back , it's so much better with the head on the shoulders 😂 I've subscribed to your channel 👍

Great stuff mate, looking forward to trying this tonight. Knew about the reset, just didn't think to try it in the car!
  • @morbid1.
it should remember position per car like in 2d mode each car you can setup in menu and stays that way.

That's a cool trick. Haven't thought about that before.

I had your extreme view happen to me in a race, went to the pits and ended up in that view, looking to the left. It felt really strange right away, but I didn't know how to fix it so raced the rest of the race looking to the left. I only realised what had happened after I took the headset off once I finished the race.

Watching this video gives me more motion sickness than using the actual VR
  • Set the floor height higher in the ps5 vr settings. It solved it for me in my cockpit
