I’m always incredibly impressed at how detailed MatPat’s research go into depth to come up with these theories and lores
  • @WallysVoid
The fact they gave Waluigi so much personality and even gave him a job in construction and there is no Waluigi game is criminal.
  • I always found it funny how wario has a established backstory and history with the Mario bros and his own game series while waluigi just showed up one day to a tennis game hating luigi
  • @darkdeity2012
The world is always hungry for more Waluigi content - the greatest Nintendo character. Thank you for your diligence.
  • Honestly Wario and Waluigi being brothers that don't know they're brothers is a great new head canon. They're just completely oblivious to the obvious signs.
  • @taylorman666
The fact that Foreman Spike is related to the Wah Bros makes him so much more interesting. Makes it more of a family rivalry, since Jumpman is Mario’s father and Spike is Wario’s.

Normal nose Wario is cursed. But normal nose Waluigi actually lookin very delivish, reminds me of Bowler Hat Guy lol Also never once thought Wario was speaking German, sounds exactly like he's just saying "Oh I missed"
  • Maybe Waluigi wasn't skipped over by kameck in Yoshi's Island DS. He could just be younger than everyone else and he wasn't born yet.
  • @oscaruniv2
Since Nintendo won't give him a back story I'll accept this one as cannon
  • @GunlessSnake
Honestly, the absurdity of Waluigi being passed over by Kamek for Wario is actually the strongest piece of evidence to me, as it's exactly as absurd and weird of a backstory as Nintendo would give for a character they don't really respect that much compared to their mainstays.

Waluigi is forklift certified Well, that explains the....appeal
  • @kultuk
I'm just here to point out that the Japanese that is written in 8:46 to describe Walugi's dad, is also how you spell "A Maniac" in Hebrew. In modern slang, it is used more as a "douchebag".

Honestly, this would be a very sweet story, despite being separated as babies they both ended up meeting and forming a practically brotherly bond anyway. Interesting change of air from the shady and disturbing theories that MatPat usually does.😊

Honestly, Waluigi being Spike's son would explain A LOT of things about him. Such as why Waluigi's origins are so obscure: unlike the other main cast who have histories of adventure and action, Waluigi just grew up in a normal construction and demolition family. Which is probably super normal because of how much the Mushroom Kingdom needs to be rebuilt after each of Bowser's attacks. So there really isn't much past to be uncovered for Waluigi in the first place - it's pretty plain. It also explains why Waluigi has an affinity for both plants, such as Piranha Plants and Wall-Luigi (Mario Strikers Charged) and technological gear such as his frequent use of Bob-ombs, his "Waluigiscopes" from the Olympics and his four-armed backpack (Mario Sports Mix). Construction and demolition have a lot to do with land management, agriculture and machinery, so it makes sense for Waluigi to have skills in those areas if he grew up in a construction-based environment.

when u think of it like this, foreman spike must have felt so annoyed by mario's resemblance to his missing first child that he projected all of those grief he felt to abusing him, and when mario quits the construction job, his abusive tendency in projecting those grief must have changed target to waluigi, which made the waluigi that we know of today.
  • It could be that they are half siblings. Walugi is the older brother so when they were all taken as babies he wasn't because he was at that point a toddler. And the reason Wario doesn't acknowledge they are brothers is because he doesn't know or want to admit while Walugi does. Also possibly why they have completely different interests.
  • The ending to this one is kinda sweet. Even though they were separated at birth, they were still able to find each other and become close in the end.
  • @k4l715
Let's Pray that Nintendo gives Waluigi some justice
  • You know, I always thought my classmate (who’s GENUINELY named) Luigi was similar to uhm.. Luigi. But like.. he’s more like Waluigi, isn’t he?
