Like the Vita, this feels like great tech going to waste by a lack of proper support. The price tag doesn't help either.
  • @Akumadoken
Not porting over the PSVR1 game library to the PSVR2 was a HUGE MISTAKE!
  • @Joestar96
We're NOT made out of money. Especially when you charge $70 for controllers, $500+ for a PS5, and $70 per game.
  • @cagemonster
NO LIBRARY+NO BACKWARDS COMPATABILITY = NO SALES.
  • @DolusVulpes
it's almost like nobody wants to buy something that's the price of a full console for an almost non-existent library of games
  • Stupidly high price + no backwards compatibility with PSVR1 killed it.
  • It's $880 here in Australia. With out the games to back it up there is no reason for anyone to spend that kind of money.
  • @willianbueno7611
So it's basically another PS Vita... If they somehow made it compatible with PC it would definitely sell more
  • @blackmanta2527
The price tag without backwards compatability is crazy
  • And on top of that they expect people to dish out between $500-600 on a PS5 Pro? Do these companies not pay attention to the economic hardships people are facing around the world?
  • @CDCaptainFalcon
So you’re telling me a toy that costs more than the console itself with no killer apps that is a pain in the ass to set up and use didn’t sell well? Who could have predicted this?!
  • @Jgame5
No backwards compatibility and no pc support. If it worked on PC i would have bought it instead of the index.

the moment i heard "they shut down the london studio" thats the moment the flame died in my eyes for stuff like this... that studio literally pulled the eyetoy on ps2 inside out to get out some memorable experiences that european fans remember to this day! And made some bizzare ps3 gimmick games... THEY WERE THE TEAM TAILOR MADE FOR THESE KINDS OF THINGS!
  • @chrissolace
As is, we’ve started hearing PS5 hasn’t sold as they wanted, so they think it’s in the latter half of its life cycle. And I really think that’s up to the PS5 not having more games and having the scalping issue. PS VR 2 basically takes the issues of PS5 to the next level… And to top it off, while yeah you have to put in a pretty penny to get it… why would the “add-on” be more expensive than the console itself?

"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should."
  • @chemicalmix
Not backwards compatible, not PC compatible, only 10 VR exclusives, and all for £500? Can they not see what's going terribly wrong here? Surely they cannot be that myopic?
  • @aaront8609
-Buying Bungie. -Sony wanting to create 10+ live service games. -PSVR2 releasing with less support than it's predecessor. -Raising the price of Ps+ Sony is currently in the "find out" stage.

The biggest problem with the PSVR is its NOT pc compatible, ik alot of the vr community were looking to buy this headset and use it on their pc. But when sony announced you HAD to buy the 550$ console and headset, it doomed itself from the start.
