Oh boy, I thinks he's probably right. I hope not, as a UK citizen, but this sounds spot on.

Everything this guy has said is proving to be true.

Finally someone who actually talks some sense, and its dubbed as 'fake news'. Are these people actually listening to the words this man says? or are they just plain thick? Could be both.

Varoufakis was in every way intellectually superior to Duijselbloem. Varoufakis was right, but couldn't win because of the corrupt EU establishment backing Duijselbloem.

Two years on and hes been proven correct. The issue he overlooked was just how volatile and ill tempered the whole debate has been within parliament. Our politicans have really let the country down.

I am reading all negative comments on Yanis, and they all sound ridiculous considering the current global panorama. He has been denouncing the lies and is doing a great job!

What ever you think of Brexit or yanis - it’s true, we will never get a good deal. In my opinion Brexit was a bad idea anyway but the fact the EU is in total control and so we’ll get an awful deal makes the whole thing even worse.

This sounded a sensible strategy at the time, now it looks like genius. Why didn't we employ advisers Like Varoufakis who had experience of how the EU works, rather than relying on the likes of David Davis who plainly can't even tie his own shoelaces!

I like Varoufakis... a decent enough dude. I agree with what he says... up to a point. The EU doesn't need to ask for "the whole pie" as he puts it. From my perspective, they already have it; Britain had a piece, but voted to hand it over.

I have to agree with William below, have our people never negotiated before, or faced up to reality.

EU isn't being scrutinised constantly by opposition parties and opposition media like the UK government, its not a country held to any kind of account by anybody, so it can do what it wants (imagine if a country, treat another country badly) - meanwhile the UK government can't duel with them due to the remainers wanting too much (for a defeated party) and has to appear friendly - had no chance of winning because it wasn't a united front. FUEU.

It is true that it is a waste of time negotiating with the EU. It is much better to leave and go to WTO regs. not a Norway or swiss type deal. The UK will not lose in these negotiations. Because we will just leave without a deal if they piss us off
