I got to see a screening of this film at the SF Film Festival last night, followed by a Q&A with the the director and the band; what a night. WOW! Such a touching and inspirational story and told so well. Arnel is charming and so talented. I'll be honest, I've never been a big Journey fan, but REALLY enjoyed the film and it gave me a new appreciation for their music.

I have to admit Arnel is a true rags to riches story and respectful of Perry's legacy. It was moving to hear him be compassionate about the fans and the "BIG SHOES" Perry left to fill to whom without Perry's voice much of Rock "n" Roll wouldn't have been as sweet a pot. Now, If only Steve Smith's replacement can get the bell right on Don't Stop Believing the band would be in top shape...hehee. PS: I do have a very old Journey story to tell one day going back to 1976-77 at College of Delhi, NY

I wasn’t an Arnel fan until I learned of his backstory. It was a CBS Sunday Morning segment that did it for me. Nothing but love & respect for him now. 🙏✨💕 The more I hear from him, the more I like him.

I was there at the SFIFF Closing Nite too and agree with everything you've written here! There's a YouTube video of Arnel singing during the Q&A (unfortunately I can't post the URL here but you all can search and find it easily... or @EverymansJourney can post it.. Hope they sign with a great distributor and it gets in the theaters soon and then TV broadcast.. Ramona Diaz did an amazing job (with help of my old friend Vicente Franco, one of the cinematographers ;-) Good luck!
